Do you guys think we should go for Jason Kidd? If I were Riley I would do whatever it takes to get him besides trading Wade/Shaq/Haslem. He and Wade will easily become the best backourt in the league and he'll do wonders for Shaq late in his career. We would probably lose some perimiter shooting because I'm sure we'd be trading J-Will, Posey, and Wright. I think that move would make us the favorites in the Eastern Conference, and it would be a great counter for the Heat after the Pistons signing Webber.
i'd love to get him but im not sure if i'd be willing to give up j-will posey and wright like u mentioned. i realize though that you have to be willing to sacrifice in trades. i'd say j-will, a 1st or 2nd round pick and (I WISH) 'toine. i doubt that that would actualy happen but that wouldnt be too bad if we pulled that off. plus, we wouldnt lose tooooo much, and we pick up a consistent scorer, rebounder, and passer. aguy can dream cant he, haha. btw, i dont think we should give up wright yet, hes a young guy with a lot of potential, he could be good down the road.
True but Riley is all about winning now and I think we HAVE to make a move to counter the PIstons signing C-Webb. Whether it be going after Kidd, Maggette or whoever else that can help us down the stretch.

I don't think the Nets would trade J-Kidd for guys like J-Will and Walker. They just don't need guys who make a bad influence like that on the team. Walker is terrible, and he definently does not fit the Nets' need for a big man. J-Will is ok, but I think Marcus Williams is a better option for the Nets than him.
They would be in major cap troubles if they wanted more than 3 players lol. Shaq 20 mill Wade is making max Kidd makes 20 mill for the next 3 years.
Its funny how you said you wanted Kidd without giving up Shaq...nobody in the league wants Shaq for his price tag and the years left....trust me, you got him for a while. Kidd at least has something left in the tank and actually plays...Shaq is a pylon for half the year if not more.
I am wondering why you need to counter Detroit when you aren't even a top 5 team in the East. Miami needs to counter a lot more than just Detroit (who are also struggling atm) Borderline playoffs right now with the teams who is right behind you. Doesn't make sense for them to trade their best player to make them worse off.

Shaq has only played four games so far and Wade missed 5 with the wrist injury. We've won 5 out of the last 7 I believe. When Miami gets healthy they will definately be a top 5 team in the East, they have yet to have to the whole team from a year ago healthy. How could you possibly count them out when we're not even at the All Star break.
Not counting you out (never would with DWade on the team). But everyone knows Shaq isn't what he used to be, but he will make an impact, whether it will be you guys as a top 5 team though, I am not sure. However New Jersey are even with Miami right now and JKidd is a reason for that (he was the reason we lost twice to them). I can't see them getting rid of him and most likely dropping out of the playoff race.
After tonight's loss we are in need of a point guard to run the offense alte in games. With J-Will's injuries and Payton's age, we are in need of a point guard. Walker had a great game but we failed to excecute at the end and having a true PG out there would've been the key.

You also would have two players that can't stretch the floor very well by hitting 3s (Kidd & Wade), and you lost your inside presence (Haslem, Walker, and Mourning don't bring Shaq's presence).
