Harrington, Rogers and Williams ... Matt Millen's legacy. [IMG]

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE ("Tom Kowalski)</div><div class='quotemain'>It's just three weeks into the 14-week off-season workout program, but sources say receivers Charles Rogers and Mike Williams have not impressed the new coaching staff.

Rogers has been attending the workouts but the coaches have been underwhelmed by his attitude and focus and the rumors of his hard-partying lifestyle won't go away. As for Williams, he didn't show up for any of the workouts last week. His agent said he left because of a "family matter.''

Williams, who is overweight and out of shape, attended the first four workouts and then took 10 days off before returning on Monday. That's not exactly the level of commitment the coaching staff is looking for.

If the receivers don't turn up the intensity and production through training camp, they can forget about winning starting positions -- they'll be fighting for roster spots.</div>

Millen's worst pick and dumbest move will forever be the drafting of Mike Williams.
I screamed that last year at the draft and I am more than ever convinced of it.

Simply put, there was no way Williams, after 18 months of inactivity was the 10th best player on the board. None.

It wasn't a position of need, nor was Williams the kind of quick receiver the WCO favoured. Heck even Chris Carter knew that Williams lacked commitment - he saw it live at his WR school. Did Millen do no background check or had he simply convinced himself that BMW was a can't miss stud regardless of the signs?

Now look at what we have on our hands.[IMG]

When I think some of the other players we considered were Derrick Johnson and Shawn Merriman, it just about makes me want to puke.

Lets just hope that whatever scout recommended BMW has since been fired and is now working for the Pack, Bears or Vikings.

I think the WRs are sick of losing so much. They have tons and tons of talent but they need to listen to Martz who can get them the ball like he did with Holt and Bruce

    D. Boston has been set loose by the 'phins. Millen, genius that he is, can't wait to ink him. and complete the set of Big, physical, useless WR's.

Boston going to the Motor City kitties will only cement the fact that 2006 truly is Michigan's year.

Very funny! Almost as funny as giving something up for Princess Harrington, but not quite.

Maybe we should make a signature bet ... if the Fins give up something for Jo Jo Dancer I get to pick your signature until after the first game. If the Lions sign Boston you pick mine for the same time frame.

    You in?

I actually think Mike Williams can become a solid possession WR. Rogers I think they need to trade though. Get a 4th rounder for him and be satisfied.

I think that also, Charles Rodgers really needs a fresh start, i hope that if Rodgers does get traded that he goes to the 49ers who are in strong need of a good WR, with Lloyd gone

No. Not on a personnel move.

However, if you want to put your signature where mouth is. Then, lets bet on the Turkey day game.

Loser has to alter their avatar until the 2006 regular season ends.
