<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CR2, You should make a sticky with predictions on Dunmurphike at the allstar game next season.

I predict Ike will flourish. He'll be a 15-9 guy in his first 1/2 season as a starter. Murphy will be a 12-10 guy this year and get moved in the offseason. Dundun will actually have his balls drop and become the 13-6-4 guy (Next Season) with a little more attitude. I think the trade is just what the doctor ordered.

All in all I think the Warriors got the better deal, Mully Dun good!</div>I think Murphy will be double double (like it means anything unless he's playing some form of D), Dun will be the same, and I think Ike will be the real steal of the trade. Keith McLeod could chip in a few minutes, but only if he's shooting well.

Basically I think Murphy, Dun will be doing the same as the years before their big signings. Ike could improve to 16-8 type of guy at least or 20-10 guy at the most. Depends on how much playing time he gets and if Jermaine O'neil is hogging up the minutes at PF. He could be traded though. We never know.

Yeah, Ike's situation is interesting. I was also wondering how he is going to fit in with JO since they both play in the low post and need the ball to be effective. This is a similar situation with what happened to Harrington and JO. Apparently they had a hard time sharing the low post, knowing who's turn it was and everything. Granted Ike is a less established player so that should be less of a problem. But I don't see Ike playing more than 20 minutes a game this season. Probably closer to 15. I figure Foster, JO, and Murphy will take most of the PF and C minutes.

I predict Murphy to come in and play about as well as he did here for the last Clipper game at best. I think he can only keep that up for a bit before he gets injured in some way and winds up being what he was for us, nothing special.

Dunleavy will consistently become inconsistent and the Pacers fans will form a mob and lynch Larry Bird out of town.

Ike will be a solid player between a Corliss Williamson, but not as good as Zack Randolph or Elton Brand. 15/7 guy...

If Jermaine O'neil gets traded, it softens the blow somewhat because they'll still have a solid power forward. Maybe that is one reason they sought to get Ike Diogu.

I love Ike Diogu. He's been one of my favorite players as a Warrior. But I'm still not sure why everyone thinks he's suddenly going to become a 20/10 player overnight. He has a lot of potential, and the Indy system is different, but he still has a lot of work to do.

A ton of players in this league have huge potential. I mean Pietrus was supposed to becme the next Jordan. WHat separates the greats -- guys who average 20/10 -- is their ability to work hard and improve every day.

Now, I'm rooting for Ike, and he could be an ex-factor in this trade, but right now, he's just a prospect who got swapped in a trade. Hollinger's comments about how Ike will now have JO and Foster to cover for his defensive lapses is puzzling. I mean, all year Biedrins has been there to cover for Ike's defensive weaknesses, and yet still he would fall asleep on back-door cuts or just completely miss a rotation and get lost in the zone defense. Biedrins is one of the best weak-side help defenders in the league. If he couldn't "mask" Ike's defensive struggles, JO or Foster won't fare much better.

If Ike is going to become a 20/10 guy, he's going to have to do the same things he needed to do here: work harder, become smarter, and play better defense. The good news is those are attainable goals. If he needed to grow 5 inches he'd be out of luck. But his weaknesses are areas that he definately can improve in, if he works hard enough. However, that remains to be seen.

As far as Murphy, I don't see how playing alongside an all-star PF who takes 20 shots a night is going to help his numbers. I predict maybe 12/8, about what we were getting from him -- decent, but not worth the $$.

Dunleavy -- who the hell knows!?!

The Warriors should try to trade for JO... Stephen Jackson + Al Harrington + Filler for JO maybe? [IMG]

If that ridiculously hilarious trade (for us, not for them) were to happen it couldn't happen for a while. Remember how we couldn't trade that one Dallas player back to Dallas during the same year? I think his name was Evan Eschmeyer and we had to wait a year before we could send his ass back.

We acquired the no-namer during the Antwan Jamison salary dump. And later we sent him back to Dallas after Dampier was signed and traded to Dallas. Then the guy retired. So he was part of that Dampier trade that brought us Eduardo Najera + two first round draft picks.

Says it all right there and I am right. Yes!
