MILWAUKEE -- One game shy of the season's midpoint, the Bulls are back to where they started.

At least in terms of the way they start.

With Ben Wallace back after a two-game absence, coach Scott Skiles, as expected, went to the lineup that went 3-3 over the season's first six games.

Wallace started at center Wednesday night, with P.J. Brown and Luol Deng at forward and Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon at guard.

"There's no question there are a lot of games where we need more size out there," Skiles said. "And there's no question there are a lot of games our small lineup is very effective.

"We certainly don't want to be the team that's changing the lineup all the time based on who we're playing. But we have to be open to that and realize we can play both ways."

The new lineup didn't last long. Andres Nocioni replaced Deng, who picked up two quick fouls at the 8-minute-2-second mark of the first quarter. Tyrus Thomas replaced Brown at the 6:05 mark.</div>

Originally when the lineup was changed early in the season, I felt as though Skiles had been a bit too hasty to make the move. I am glad to see he felt the same way and went back to it. Ben Gordon has the skill set to be a starter. However, he tends to struggle early every season. Partly due to his rigorous weight training done every off-season, as well as the Bulls schedule early. I expect him to continue to shine now that he is back in the starting rotation.
