Whether it's his side arm delivery, his low scoring on the wonderlic or that he only played in shotgun at Texas, Vince clearly has his doubters. The only factor putting him in the same sentence as Leinart is the Rose Bowl. Prior to that it was thought that he should stay at Texas another year.</div> Why pass on an upgrade over Rodgers though. I'm not saying they should do it. I'm saying it wouldn't be stupid. Rodgers looked awful in Green Bay last year. Usually players at least show signs of potential. Heck even Joey Harrington did it in Detroit. Rodgers showed nothing. Drafting Young and trading Rodgers is certainly an option and not a bad one.</div> Rodgers didnt start a game. Farve looked like crap on that team with all his INTs also. The team basically sux, and no one could win with those losers. Let rodgers have his trial by fire before you cast him off. Young is a bust waiting to happen.

Looking back to 2004 Robert Gallery was one of the top OT prospect to come out in years and he's been well below his potential thus far. So Young is much as a bust waiting to happen as any player that Green Bay would take that high.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think ur making more of this injury, but time will tell.</div> Im not making anything of the injury myself, Im pointing out that one of the following is true: 1.The Chargers were too concerned about the shoulder to commit ANYTHING to Brees....not even for a year.... 2.The Chargers feel that Rivers is ready to play right now, and will exceed Brees prodution.... Its one or the other(or both), but you have to raise serious red flags when an NFL franchise lets a quarterback of Brees's ability and accomplishments walk without recieving any compensation....
As pointed out earlier this is the same organization that selected Leaf so their judge of talent is questionable at best.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>As pointed out earlier this is the same organization that selected Leaf so their judge of talent is questionable at best.</div> A lot of teams would of taken Leaf that high. Indy thought about going Leaf over Manning at one time.

ok same team I actually like Rivers & I hope he can succeed in San Diego. But for a team that has struggled for so long to just toss away it's pro bowl QB seems foolish. Getting back on topic; as a 1st round selection that is what Aaron Rodgers is expected to be. Therefore to give up on that potential after only a year seems foolish.

There is no way Rodgers would even go round 1 in this years Draft and Young might be the best player in the Draft.

Even ML is a work in progress. It all depends where he goes. If Titans axe McNair then Leinart could step in right away. I don't think the same could be said for the other 2. An arguement could be made that Mario Williams, Ferguson, or V Davis are the 'best player in the draft'

But I think Young has the most upside of anyone in the Draft and it helps that we play in a league that is a QB league now more than ever.

This coming from someone with Tom Brady?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>I mean why is it more so now than ever?</div> Look it the value of backup QB's now adays. Culpepper goes down and someone like Brad Johnson comes in and goes 6-2 as a starter. Palmer goes down and Kitna bombs out and Cincy loses. Bledsoe goes down and Brady wins a SB and doesn't look back. Teams are using 3rd round picks on backup QB's. Usually that was unheard of but nowadays. QB's value in my opinon has risen. It use to be about a team but now it's about drafting a QB and build around him. This will be the first draft since 97 I think since a QB wasn't picked #1 overall.

He's actually turned it around a little in Denver. Cleveland has really had some bad Drafts. Couch and Brown.. Ouch!!
