This really pisses me off, why did they wait until 7 hours before the game to release this? I'm going to the game tonight so it already feels like I wasted some money, hopefully the new guys will get it done, good thing we've got Sarunas who is as close to a legit PG we've had other than Baron since Speedy.

I hope he's suspended for tonight's game. Chances won't be good in LA without Baron. But I think they can beat the Cavs without Baron.

That sucks..I was looking forward to see how they all play together. Does this mean Monta will start at PG or will Roony start?

I think Monta will start, though I admit that makes me weary because of his turnovers. I wonder what's the over/under on how many turnovers he'll get. Despite that Monta is still the best option at PG right now since he knows the system better than Cabbages and is just a better player.

On the brightside at least we'll get a good look at Cabbages and see what he can offer to the team. The next Nash?

Well the upside is that we will se a lot of Sarunas, and what he can do. Is he realy that slow, turnover prone and can't defend at all or he will show flashes of what he was before signing with pacers.

Ridiculous. I'm pumped going to the game but No Jrich and No Baron?!?!

Give me a break! That sucks!

Oh well, the Cavs are slowing down. We have a new post guy, Montay and Biedrins are awesome, Jackson can score and more importantly we have Don Nelson. He can't win the game for us BUT he will do everything he can to win, I have a lot of confidence in him.

Well, Monta is a better player but Rooney is a better point guard, IMO. Monta should be playing SG right now. I know Nellie has visions of him at point guard, and he IS one of my favorite players, but he's just not ready to run an offense. Someone needs to lay into him about proper passing fundamentals first.

Until then, I won't mind seeing Rooney start at all.

    Rooney
    Monta
    Barnes / Jackson
    Harrington
    Biedrins

Hey, if Rooney, Jackson and Harrington start, that'll be an ex-Pacer heavy line-up!

BTW sarunas marchillonas (spell check), the former warrior, was also called Rooney. It's just the easiest nick-name given the crazy last names.

Weird -- a google search brought this up from exactly one year ago:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Warriors' Davis Suspended for One Game

    Thursday, January 19, 2006

Golden State Warriors guard Baron Davis was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Thursday for hitting Seattle's Luke Ridnour in the chest.

Davis and Ridnour had to be separated 11.7 seconds before halftime of the Warriors' 109-93 win Monday night. Davis intentionally made a hard swipe at Ridnour after the whistle had blown for a foul against Davis, who then received a technical.

Davis will serve his suspension Friday when the Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers.</div>

Agree, I think this would be a good game for Rooney to start. The Cavs don't have any PGs who will make us pay for Rooney's terrible defense and without Baron we can't afford to be turning the ball over and not getting everyone involved. Of course whether he starts or not, Rooney will probably get plenty of playing time.

That sucks, we won that game too if I remember correctly. I don't understand how swiping at a guy and missing and swiping a guy and hitting deserve the same penalty, the least they could have done is decide the suspension the next day so that Baron would have time to appeal, theres almost no time for him to do anything if he just learned about it like we did.

Man this is stupid, the NBA is trying to keep us from the PO's! If they're gonna suspend him do it early, this is BS.

Good points about Cabbages, Run BJM and Alleyoop. He's definitely the better PG.

Wow the NBA is crazy about suspensions. I mean there wasn't even a technical called on the play if I remember correctly. I hardly even remember what play they are talking about. I wonder what type of suspension KG will get for his swipe last night vs. the Pistons.

The refs sucked vs. the Clippers and now the league is against the Warriors with this suspension that came out of nowhere.

Well the Warriors beat the Jazz and the Spurs without Baron earlier this season. But I still would rather have Baron in there for the Warriors. Is it not even possible to protest the suspension like it is in the MLB? Well I guess obviously it isn't but wow...the NBA is sketchy here.

That's lame but the silver lining is that the Cavs may think they have a better chance, making their play complacent. Hopefully the W's can take advantage of that.

I went to the Cavs game last year and it was a great one despite Baron not playing that night because he was suspended. DFish actually played well and Dunleavy had a career night. LeBron was off his game, but he still made some superstar plays.

It's just odd that he's suspended for the Cleveland Cavs game again; It's the only time the Cavs come to Arena this season.

I wish I could make it to the game tonight, but will be there in spirit.
