<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When asked about the recent slide of the Magic's performance Otis Smith, Magic General Manager, had much to say:

Randy Ayers, Magic Assistant Coach, would be in line to temperarily take things over in case of a departure of Hill.</div>

Now with the humor out of the way, I would like to talk seriously about this. If we really did let go of Hill, who could we actually go after? I sure as hell don't want some nobody Assistant coach us.

I'm honestly fed up with Brian Hill's stubbornness, lack of offensive game plan, and erratic substitution patterns. I think we need to let him go because he is not only losing us games and hurting our team right now, he's slowing down the development of Dwight Howard. Firing Hill might not be worth it just because I'm not sure who all is available and I don't want an assistant coach running this team either. What coaches could we make a run for if Hill did get the ax?

I agree, and the only coaches I can think of at the moment are Mike Fratello and MAYBE Larry Brown.

Even if Brown was available I wouldn't want him to be completely honest.

Larry Brown brings so much drama to an organization and his substitution patterns in New York were questionable as well.

Mike Fratello, Stan Van Gundy, and Paul Silas (where is he these days) are all guys that pop into mind when I think available coaches.

Randy Ayers coached the Sixers I believe. I say give him a test run this season. You don't want to hire a new coach in the middle of the season and I'm sure there will be more people available in the off season.

Another name that could come up who doesn't have much coaching experience and that I wouldn't mind hiring is Chris Jent. He took over when Johnny Davis got fired in regular season and actually played the people that we wanted him to play. He gave Deshawn Stevenson some playing time when Johnny Davis kept him at the end of the bench. Maybe he would play Redick more or at least get the guys that he wants in there(diener over Arroyo).

He coached Shaq and knew how to get him the ball inside. Maybe he could do similar things for Dwight?

Wait, was he coaching us last year during our 16-6 period? If so, then that doesn't sound too bad of an idea.

Jent coached us at the end of the 04-05 season. We did lose a lot of games after that, but Turkoglu/Grant Hill and I believe Francis was also hurt. He seemed smart and had some good rotations while he coached us.

The article was a joke, click the Source.

Del Harris isn't a bad idea though. He has tons of experience and seems like he would do a great job in Orlando.
