<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The NBA trade deadline is a month away, but the Bulls don't appear any closer to landing the difference-making inside scorer that could elevate them to elite status than they were at the start of the season.

A couple of months ago, the big dream had the Minnesota Timberwolves tanking and deciding to trade superstar Kevin Garnett. It seemed to be a plausible scenario. The Timberwolves failed to qualify for the playoffs the last two seasons, and their prospects didn't appear to be too promising this season.

But they have been a pleasant surprise and have the seventh-best record in the competitive Western Conference. With the Timberwolves seriously contending for a playoff spot, Garnett isn't available now and probably won't be before the trade deadline Feb. 22 unless the team collapses in the next couple of weeks.

So is there anybody else out there? Right now, it doesn't look promising.

Memphis Grizzlies management has said Pau Gasol isn't on the market. Even if he was, I doubt I would be willing to give up two members of the Bulls' young core for the cottony-soft power forward/center. </div>

yea there is nothing. I really wish we could get Al Harrington but thats not going 2 happen unless GS really wants to have 2 1st round picks this season. He is our missing piece tho.

I just want a post-player that could give us 12+points a night. We dont need much imo.

What ever happened to Ely demanding a trade? Are they just going to keep him?

We are the 3rd or 4th best team in the East...why do we need anyone?

I agree, we have the best conference record in the eastern conference (18-7) and Tyrus Thomas is starting to prove he is an absolute beast. I think we should hold steady, especially if it involves trading a big part of our team. Only guy I might look at right now is Jermaine O'Neal and even then its a long shot.
