<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If the Jazz is going to have any kind of postseason shelf life, it had better avoid teams with elite shooting guards. So far, Utah has surrendered 50-plus scoring games to Kobe Bryant, Michael Redd, Ray Allen and Gilbert Arenas. The interesting thing about this: SF Andrei Kirilenko was blamed for all of the outbursts, and he's getting sick of it--to the point he might ask out. His numbers are down, he's making max money, he's complaining about his role in the offense (6.3 shots in 32.2 minutes per game), and worst of all, Jerry Sloan always blames the skinny Russian when somebody goes off for 50 against his team. "It's not interesting to play only defense," AK-47 says. . . .</div>

Wow, thats quite a remarkable number, especially with the best defender in the league on your team. I guess this really goes to show just how ineffective AK47 has been this season [IMG]

A big part of giving up four 50+ games is the result of the Jazz just not having a two guard that gets minutes who can defend. Ronnie Brewer can play D, but as a rookie he rarely gets on the court. They're starting Derek Fisher at shooting guard, who at 6-1, should really only be defending point guards. Giricek and Miles are both far from the answer as well.

Best defender [IMG] Not really, best shot blocker, maybe

If Sloan pulled his head out of his ass and play Brewer, we'd stop them from getting 50 [IMG]

Many people consider AK47 the best defender in the league.

I consider him to be, when he wants to be anyway. He's really lost a lot of respect though.
