We passed up on Webber We stopped talking to the wolves about KG We didnt inquire about AK Now Gasol has asked to be traded to a contender... and what are we? the Grizz are in financial trouble and need some expiring contracts Mihm, mckie, radman, shammond and some picks... may be 1st rounders give them greg oden i dont care... Our lineup would be Smush Kobe Odom Gasol Kwame Not only contenders but definite 07 Champs
Gasol could definately be the shooter that Radman currently isn't, wouldn't be a bad idea at all I think.
You're right. The Lakers management like doesn't care about those players. Gasol isn't just a shooter. He can do everything what's common to a PF/C. His only minus is that he isn't very athletic. But he sure has a great shot. Radmanovic is more an outside shooter, Gasol relies on close/mid range shots.

Give me a break... Stop living in a fanasty world. For the record, Lakers didn't pass Webber up. He just decided to go elsewhere. For Lakers to get Gasol they would need to move Odom.
The Lakers are not passing up people, it takes both teams or a player to agree on terms. Chris Webber wanted a guaranteed amount of minutes if he signed with the Lakers. For the Lakers to coax him into playing for LA instead of his hometown, that's what it was going to take. You also can't believe a lot of rumors floating around the internet. People fabricate stories or hash words they hear. A lot of agents use LA to get their clients a bigger payday. The only change I'd make to the roster is getting one or two more servicable players to replace McKie and Shammond. Other than those two, this team is fine. We're getting Odom and Kwame back this week, I don't think there's a better trade out there than getting these two back in the rotation.
I like Lakers but it would be scary for me if the Lakers will have Gasol. Kobe and Gasol. One of the best PF's in the league and the best player in the league. Right now when i thought that Suns have a nice chance to win a championship, things are getting scary. Well, Lakers dont have him yet, but it's a option and a very good option (for the lakers).
Well it's not hurting us even if we are passing them up. I'm happy with the Lakers progress without lamar and kwame. I think Lakers should pursue on a piece that will be the perfect fit. Guys like webber and Ai are not "the" pieces lakers need.
FYI for some people if they wanted to know...I tried out a trade scenario on realgm.com just to see what would happen (also fyi I don't think this trade will go down...ever) so the only scenario I allowed myself to accept was: Vladimir Radmanovic Chris Mihm Shammond Williams Aaron Mckie for Pau Gasol This won't happen, but now you know. Call this a teaser to those hopeful people.
i think that the griz are in enough trouble at the moment that they might just want any deal offered, expiring contracts for them, aswell as picks are very attractive, if they got VC from tyhe nets or something like that, their position wouldnt change and they would be stuck again. they want to start over by getting rid of gasol for whatever is offered, IMO.
tehn my bs trade might work i still dont think it will, but i dont want to think right now...finals week x.x
