There are many trade talks around the Lakers (KG, C-Webb, okay maybe not AI, but now definately Gasol).

What do you think, who would be the best player in the Lakers with Kobe (we'd have to trade Odom).

It just interests me, whou would be the best choice for the Lakers.

I thought about Dwight. Well, everybody know that he is the best rebounder and a GREAT defender in the frontcourt. And everybody also say that he will develope an offensive game. But atm, Kobe needs a 20+ PPG player next to him imo.

Then I thought, maybe Dirk ? Or KG, Duncan (but they have pretty big age).

Or we can just ask it this way, if we could get anybody for Kobe or/and Odom (only 1 player for one player trades), what would YOU do with that kind of situation.

Yeah, it's veny "pointless" or "ridiculous" question to sb, but your thoughts are interesting, usually.

Definetly Dwight Howard. Can you imagine a future roster of Kobe, Howard, and Bynum? We would be unstoppable. Also, a Lebron James and Kobe Bryant duo would be interesting the watch. As would a Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant duo.

Andrew Bynum is WEAK SAUCE compared to D-Howard.

I'd trade Bynum for Howard (I know it's not possible) in a heartbeat.

Howard is a million times more athletic, stronger, better rebounder, shot blocker, better postgame.

what idiot would not trade Bynum for Howard?[IMG]

I'd love to see TMac (healthy) or Chris Paul in a Laker jersey. Can you imagine having to face a SG/SF combo of Kobe/TMac? wow.

I'm just throwing out names no one (in this thead) has yet.

    That would be sick.

You know who I would want to see in a Laker uniform? Shaq.

    *cough*

Nah, j/k. I would most definitely like to see Yao Ming in purple and gold.

For longivity, I would go for Howard. Just imagine running into the paint only to see Bynum and Howard waiting for you. However, one of the great things that Odom brings to our team is versatility. Howard can only play in two positions. Garnett is a player than can play in all five positions and he'll learn the triangle faster than Howard. If we wanted to win now, I'd pick Garnett.

Read the thread. We're coming up with players that we would like to see play in purple and gold. Nobody is saying anything about trading. Use your head

Who I'd love to see in LA? D12 definately. Paul Pierce back to his roots. Kevin Garnett most definately. And of course LBJ!

Kobe and Dwight would be Shaq and Kobe all over again without the drama and the childish fighting. Howard isn't confrontational and he generally gets along with everyone. I think the D12-KB24 duo would be sick and nobody would be able to stop them.

For Odom? no one... he's the best complimentary player to kobe... But if i could have just ANY PLAYER in the league based on what the LAKERS NEED id pick Chris Bosh

Since the Lakers love that outside shooting threat, I'd love to see Dirk in LA. We wouldn't have to worry about Radman's hand then.
