I reckon BIG AL is the most imprved player thus far in the nba. Double double averages and swatting a shot or two a game aswell. Things look positive.........trade bait maybe? For a vet and draft pic?

trade bait Will AL be the kinda guy you can build a team around? Is he a TD or KG? Will he make players around him better? Will he be a leader? Paul wont be a round forever and some one will need to shoulder the scoring and leadership role. I dont get the feeling that this is AL, nor is it any one else. Im a huge Del nut, but honestly who would listen to him as a leader? Why not trade him for a vet now, some one who may make an impact, and a first round draft pick and add a young guy for the future. There are alot of PF's in the draft this year and we will get a high pick to cover AL if he was traded.
I'll answer. In a few years I'd build a team around him. No he is not TD or KG, but not a lot of players are. Does KG make players around him better? He only had 1 season where he got past the first round. Don't know if he'll be a leader or not, but he should step up and take control now. Bottom line: it too early in his career to typecast him and trade him away. Wait a year or 2.
I'll be honest... I haven't paid as much attention to the NBA this year as I usually do (mostly because the C's are so horrible), but who else would be up for the MIP this year? I know Kevin Martin has had a amazing season, but is there anybody else?

Big Al has a legit shot though, he's putting up some monster numbers.
^ Thanks, I looked up their stats to compare. Butler- up 3ppg, up 2rpg, up 1.5 apg Howard- up 4ppg, up 1rpg Deng- up 4.5 ppg Ellis- up 10ppg, up .7 rpg, up 2.5 apg Lee- up 6ppg, up 6.5 rpg, up 1.2 apg Martin- up 10 ppg, up 1 rpg, up 1 apg Jefferson- up 6ppg, up 5.5 rpg, up .5 apg Howard, Deng, and Butler have definitely improved statistically, but not by as much as the rest. Ellis and Lee have dramatic jumps in their numbers, but they are both second year players who didn't get to play much last season. I know it's not the case, but in my opinion, second year players shouldn't be considered as much for the MIP award since they're not expected to show their true skills in their rookie year. Right now, I think Martin is the most deserving player for the award because his improvement is the most impressive. Jefferson's yearly comparisons are slanted in his favor because he was injured for a good amount of last year, so he was either not playing at 100% or not playing at all. But Jefferson is also improving more and more as the season goes along, and his numbers should be up on the way up until the season ends. If he can end the year with 17 and 11, then he might be able to steal it away from Martin.
