    Successful Scenario
Due to Golden State and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Golden State and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

i would do this, because they did want to trade pietrus over the summer too

I would obviously do this but the Warriors would laugh this off. Jason Richardson is worth a lot more than Turkoglu, Arroyo, Garrity, and Fran. I'm sure they won't let him go unless they are getting a quality starter back. They have reportedly offered him for Andrei Kirilenko so that gives you an idea their asking price for Richardson. Adding in Pietrus makes the deal even more one sided and there's no way this would happen.

Right now our main pieces we have to offer are Grant Hill and his expiring contract, Darko, and maybe Redick. While these pieces may attract some teams that are looking to rebuild, the Warriors are looking to win now. They aren't in a rebuilding phase so the best offer we could put together wouldn't be very attractive to them since they aren't looking for cap room or young guys.

i dont know man, i think that they would bite maybe we can also include milicic in there to sweeten the deal up some... or we could take out pietrus, but we'd have to take out garrity then too...do you think they would bite on:

    richardson

    for

    turkoglu/arroyo/vazquez

I doubt they'd even consider it. Turkoglu, Arroyo, and Fran would all be bench players in Golden State. Stephen Jackson would start over Hedo, Arroyo would likely be the third stringer behind Baron Davis and Monta Ellis, and who knows if Fran will ever step onto an NBA court. Add in the fact that Arroyo's trade value is low right now due to his slump and benching and the fact that team's know Vazquez is happy overseas, they would be stupid to do this deal. No team is going to give up a starter of Richardson's quality for two bench players and the rights to someone refusing to play in the NBA.

While we are on the topic of the Warriors, would you guys rather have Darko or Biedrins? (sp)

wow, for once, i agree with chuck...biedrins has really shown a lot of people this season that he wasn't a bust, he is putting up remarkable numbers for someone who hasn't had much PT in his career, and correct me if im wrong, but he's leading the league in FG %, and is averaging a near double double with like 2 bpg
