<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO - If Dwight Howard is tired after playing most of the summer with Team USA and every game this season with the Orlando Magic, he certainly isn't showing it. Howard suited up for his 207th consecutive game Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks, eclipsing the former franchise record held by Darrell Armstrong. The former Magic guard played 206 consecutive games from Feb. 5, 1999 to April 3, 2001. Howard has played every game of his two-plus seasons in the NBA. He has started every game but one, missing a start last March because he was tardy to a morning practice. "I'm happy to play in 3,000 games in a row," Howard joked. "Really, I haven't even thought about it. It's not up to me (as to whether he stays healthy). It up to Him." Magic coach Brian Hill said he sensed Howard, 21, being tired early in the season, but he feels his franchise center has "gotten his second wind now." Howard likely won't get any rest during the All-Star break Feb. 15 to 19. He is expected to be named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team and also his agent is pushing for him to appear in the Slam Dunk contest.</div> Source
wow, very nice to see that we have a durable star player *knock on wood*, the others in the past all seem to have had lots of injures (penny, t-mac, hill) so im very happy that he set 2 marks last night, 207th consecutive game played, and 3,000th career point (came on alley-oop from jameer), i think he's the youngest magic player to achieve that mark. also last year when he was benched for showing up late by 15 minutes, he was 9 games away from topping the most consecutive games started by a magic player, also held by darrell armstrong, hopefully he breaks lots of magic records in years to come, he can definately score the most points in a magic uniform, get the most boards, and things like that...the ones i dont see being broken are three pointers attempted/made, assists, steals, freethrows made/attempted
