"We are in discussions with the league," Magic Chief Operating Officer Alex Martins said. "We're enthusiastically behind whatever they want us to do internationally." The Magic will not hold training camp overseas as some teams have done. But they will play exhibitions, with one of their opponents likely being LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Magic played against the New Jersey Nets in 1996 in Tokyo. Four NBA teams -- the San Antonio Spurs, the Philadelphia 76ers, the L.A. Clippers and the Phoenix Suns -- participated in NBA Europe Live Tour last preseason.</div> Source
That'll be pretty cool. The NBA is doing big things by expanding like this into Europe and televising certain games to European countries. It seems like basketball is more a world sport now, and I think it's in large part to the NBA. As much as I hate Stern, I must admit that he is doing a good job globally with the sport, by expanding it into other countries and not just the USA.
