Has anyone noticed the huge increase Gordon has had this season in his field goal percentage, as opposed to prior seasons? He has gone from a 41% shooter his rookie season, and a career 42% shooter, to a respectable 45% from the field this season. What do you attribute the improvement to?
Hard work during the off-season and consistant training during practices since the day he arrived in Bulls camp years ago. He's just kept up his practice and continues to improve each year. We all know he's a very dedicated young player and that is why Pax is so high on him. Good to see all that hard work is paying off.
Yes and when I think about how dangerous this team will be with a post player like Gasol or Garnett, I have to drool. Given that the Bulls are able to keep Hinrich, Nocioni, Deng and Gordon. Garnett and Gasol are often double teamed, we all know that. Bad choice when you have, oh let's say Noce, Gordon, Hinrich and Wallace on the floor too. Gasol/Garnett getting to the basket, double or triple teamed, kick it out to one of the three point shooters for an easy open basket. Absolutely crazy.
Ben Gordon can be a dangerous player. He's working on his shooting consistency all of the time, and it's starting to show.
Mostly because last season he just shot and didn't really drive to the basket. And now, he's very aggressive and drives to the basket. Because of his quickness he can easily get past his man on the perimeter, and he's been able to finish better this season.
Ben Gordon is now shooting .465 percent from the field, round it and he is shooting 47%. He has been averaging 24.2 points during the last ten games, and is on pace to be the Bulls all star selection this year.
Ben should easily be considered an All-Star for the event in Las Vegas. He and Hinrich are having good enough seasons to be considered, IMO. Though if only one could go, I would have to pick Ben because he has worked extremely hard to build up his team all around effort.
