The offer included expiring contracts and Laker rookie point guard Jordan Farmar. But buried in the Vecsey column is this tidbit: Joumana Kidd hasn't filed a respose to Kidd's divorce papers because she is "fervently trying to reconcile".</div>

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The Lakers don't have nearly enough in expiring contracts, nor the cap space to match Kidd's contract.

The only expiring contracts the team has is McKie ($2.5M), Mihm ($4.2M) and Shammond Williams ($1.75M). Jordan Farmar's contract is under $1M, so this totals up to just under $10M.

Jason Kidd makes $18M, so the Lakers would have to include Kwame along with the rest of those players for Kidd. The Lakers don't really have the depth in the frontcourt to trade Kwame.

Maybe instead of Kwame it was Vlad Radmonovic?

Mamba said that Peter Vecsey lies in his articles. I wouldn't be suprised to see if this was false.

Who would make that deal? It doesn't seem worth it to me, especially with Williams soaking it all in from the bench. Kidd might be aging but he is useful as a tutor and mentor to Williams
