Lavar meets the jints again Good move for the Giants. I just wasn't overly excitred about #56 in Miami.
It's not a done deal yet. Actually the Giants haven't even offered him a contract yet. GB is the only team to do so and he turned it down. Apparently though the Giants are going to offer him a heck of a deal so he'll probably be in blue this year.

yeah now its a done deal everyone knew he was gonna go. The Giants Saturday sharply upgraded their linebacker corps and entire defense when they signed three-time Pro Bowler LaVar Arrington. Arrington, the second overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft, was one of the NFL?s most productive and exciting linebackers in his six seasons with the Washington Redskins. "We needed a big, power player to add to our defense and LaVar Arrington is that," said general manager Ernie Accorsi.

Arrington is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. Check out his stats on nfl.com.

I say "proven commodity" in the sense that the Packers know what they're getting. Is he the best linebacker in the NFL? Far from it... But you know you can plug him in as a starter who would (sadly) be an upgrade over 2 of the Packers three current linebackers. Hawk comes with no guarantees.

he has almost no money guaranteed, still a good signing and so what he's alittle banged up...go worry about Grossman breaking a leg or Greise tripping over a dog.

We have 3rd string Qb who won 10 games as a rookie with the same D. You should be worried. Coughlin is notorious for coaching his teams to be just good enough not to make the super bowl.
