Thought I'd make a thread to discuss the game. It'd be nice to actually have some activity in a Bobcats game thread.
27-21 Charlotte at the end of the first. Few thoughts: -Carroll was on fire to start -The Bobcats owned the Lakers on the offensive glass -The officiating has been good in this game (letting the players actually play) -It seems Kobe is intent on letting his teammates get involved in the first half, and then takeover when he has to
51-49 Charlotte at halftime. -The Lakers are killing themselves with turnovers, I believe they have 11 already -Lamar Odom threw a clearly intentional elbow at Gerald Wallace, and then tried to act tough -Matt Caroll is a Laker killer, he's got 14 points -The Lakers were down by 11, but made a nice run in the last 2 minutes to cut it down to 2 -If the Lakers want to be an elite team, they can't let bad offensive teams like Charlotte and New Orleans put up 100+ on them
I hope Luke Walton is okay (that looked like a Kwame-type of sprain where he could be out for a month). I'm praying for you fellow.
74-72 Los Angeles after 3. -Luke Walton rolled his ankle, and after seeing the replay it looked pretty bad. I think it will be at least a week or two before Luke plays again -Charlotte has outscored LA 42-30 in the paint -If the Lakers want to clinch this game, they have to convert on their free throws (68% so far) -Lamar with 10/6/4 so far in his first game back
The X-Rays were negative. That is good for Luke. Though they are saying it was a "moderate" sprain. Kwame's sprain was listed as "severe" so Luke should only be out a couple of weeks.
Horrible defense at the end. Why the hell did Carroll and Wallace both leave Bryant wide open? Complete defensive breakdown.
<div class="quote_poster">kobe23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">All i keep on seeing is 'G. Wallace steals the ball from K. Bryant' Kobe with 9... TO's</div> Well I believe Kobe dribbled the ball off his foot on that last one though. He's been a little careless in the last string of games recently. LO has to mesh with this team again. Kobe had 18,000 points on his last bucket. He's the fastest in league history to get that. Lol 10 days (age wise) quicker than Wilt.

Two thing: 1. We aren't a championship contender if we don't know how to play consistently against both Below-500 and Above-500 teams. (No offense to Charlotte, hats off to them) 2. If we can only win against the top teams in the league, then I won't mind a low seed so we can go and beat everyone...lol...(sorry I'm trying to lighten up the mood)
