Carter would definitely win if he went in right now. The creativity of the dunks has increased since we've seen him in 2000, but the explosiveness Carter had shown simply hasn't been there. These alley-oops Carter is throwing down during games shows that he still has his ups. I'd love to see him make a return. I'm not saying the Dunk contest is dry with the rising stars, but I guarentee you the viewer ratings would skyrocket if guys like VC, Kobe and LeBron were in it.
<div class="quote_poster">AirJordan Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Why would Vince go into the dunk contest? He has so much to lose</div> Its the All Star Weekend. LeBron lost the skills challenge last year, he didn't lose much did he? Everyone knows it's just meant to be fun and it will be good to see two of the best go at it.
If you're 5'8" or whatnot, and you are pulling off dunks alot of 6'5" guys can't pull off... then you win. Iggy has such a height advantage over Nate that if we're going to place limits on attempts... lets just put a limit on how tall you have to be. Get used to this sight. Nate 4 lyfe.

No. Nate's dunk were harder in some cases, but thats his own fault for trying dunks that he is not able to do.
All I know is, when Nate started missing all those dunks, the crowd went from noisy to quiet and the buzzing excitement, eletricity in the building just disappeared. It killed the atmosphere. Horrible. It was a nice dunk, but he cheapened it by trying 20 times.

There's more to pulling off a dunk then being this or that height. Timing, finesse and just putting on a good show especially nailing it on the first try will determine the real winner.
I see James White hasn't even played a game. So I guess he's not eligble for the dunk contest huh? Damn
Nate Robinson = complete moron. I hope this clowns tears his groin or something trying to dunk this year. D12!
Damn even Nate knows he didn`t win that contest last year. This is when I wish Iggy was trying it again.
<div class="quote_poster">Shard Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">All I know is Nate is the truth and the best dunker in the NBA. And quite possibly the best player in the NBA. So it's good he gets to own again.</div>

Iguodala said awhile ago he's not interested and I heard Dwight Howard will be in it. Josh Smith after last year's showing? I don't think so.
<div class="quote_poster">AMS_ice Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"></div> Nice post. Well thought out. Anyways, most of you are haters but it's ok if you hate Nate, i'll support him 'til he retires. How a basketball fan could hate Nate's game is quite ridiculous and regardless how you feel about the last dunk competition, he did win it. Your opinion means nothing. He didn't break any rules, maybe Iggy had better dunks in your opinion.. maybe Nate missed a bunch... but according to the rules that doesn't mean anything. So no "he didn't win" comments are needed. Just replace them with "I'm so jealous of Nate Robinson. He's so smooth and talented and a pimp. I wish I was him but I can't so i'll hate on him. BTW I wish Iggy would go out with me." I <3 NATE

I <3 NATE</div> Yay for you Really mature comeback. I think if you actually took the time to hop of Nate's balls you'd realize most people (as in like everybody) who feels Iguodala won actually hate the terrible panel of judges the NBA actually set up last year, NOT NATE. (even though he is a bit arrogant and cocky for his status) No need to worry this year though, with some real DUNKERS (MJ, 'Nique, VC, Kobe, Dr. J) players won't win because of their height. I am confident these judges will actually judge the dunks.
