yep the price for Gasol is going to get cheaper and cheaper. If no contender offers anything better than Deng, Paxson will get cheap and cheap and not include a core player in the deal. Memphis is going to trade Gasol but if no other team is outbidding us by trading a guy at Luol Dengs level y should Paxson trade Luol Deng? He can easily keep offering lower and lower and Memphis might have to b forced to trade Gasol for our bench players and future picks. Our bench players and picks beat out any contending teams players that they are willing to trade. So y should we have to give up so much but others dont. Paxson is not stupid and the media just wants us to not get Gasol or want us to trade a core or 2 players for him but Paxson is our GM not us and knows that trading our core players would not b a good idea especially if all we need is a consist post-player to go all the way this year. If we are able to beat Phoenix without a post-player and Kirk was hurt then with a consist post-player and slowing the tempo, and playing good defense like we did Phoenix is nothing. Dallas, although Dallas shot horrible, we did beat them our defense is sometimes underrated because i know if we shot horrible like we do sometimes the media is all over us saying our guys are just not consist and it will take another 3+ years. and if Paxson is able to get Gasol without trading our core players think about this PG-Kirk Hinrich > Devin Harris SG-Ben Gordon > Jason Terry SF-Luol Deng < Josh Howard PF-Pau Gasol < Dirk Nowitzki C-Ben Wallace > Erick Dampier and to me if we get Gasol our players will improve in there fg% because they dont have to play defense and shoot a jump shot possesion after possesion but play defense give the ball to Gasol first and then 2nd options to Gordon and Deng. Luol Deng < Josh Howard is just something we will all have to see once we get a consist post-player because i think Luol Deng will become better than Josh Howard. Just think about it if you put Josh Howard on a team with no consist post-player he would not look like the Josh Howard we c in Dallas.

The Grizzlies reportedly asked Chicago for Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and the Knicks' No. 1 pick, which the Bulls own. Now Memphis is down to Deng or Gordon plus another young player such as Thabo Sefolosha, P.J. Brown's expiring contract and a 2009 first-rounder. [READ]</div> Source
Los Angeles? Rumors rumors rumors. There is no telling what the Grizz will do until they actually pull off a deal involving Gasol or allow their actual price to be known to the public. Speculation is still all this is.
Everyone knows a player's value does go down once he demands a trade. I hope the Bulls can land him for cheap.

We really have to pull the trigger on some type of trade. We need an extra kick on this team. Something is just not working with our current crop. Being a just above 500 team won't get us anywhere Just no trading Deng. He's too damn good.
<div class="quote_poster">Blur Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Read More...</div> Can't happen, Noce is injured and likely will be out until the trade deadline passes. They cannot trade injured players. Will likely be Duhon and even if we were to trade Deng and Noce our team would still be poor because we wouldn't have a decent 3 and the bench would be depleted.
The Bulls have an excellent line up as is, we shouldn't pull any triggers just yet. We have a potential championship team. The Bulls just have to learn how to utilize what it has.
NO Way we trade our core players. I think people r so wrapped up about getting a post-player they think no matter how we get Gasol (meaning trading 2 of core) we will automatically b great, but we wont. Right now, it's between Boston and Chicago n the race 2 get Gasol. Boston has Al and Green. Would Gasol want 2 go 2 Boston since they r not a contender? If Al and Green cant get Boston 2 a better record then Memphis n the Atlantic division (umm the weakest divison n the leauge), does West think they can do it n the Southwest division (where there is Dallas, Spurs, and the Rockets)? West is going 2 make a move b4 the deadline because no1 is going to buy a team thats franchise player wants out & a team full of bad contracts. if nobody was willing to give up as much as West is asking for when Iverson was available if i recall, so y would they do it 4 Gasol since he is coming off an injury. Yea post-players r hard to find also West is not going to trade Gasol to a team n the west and a lot of team already have a post-player or some wut kind of consist post-players n the east. There is Jermaine O'neal, Chris Bosh, Rasheed Wallace, Al Jefferson, Nenad Krstic(who is out tho), ect. Iverson for Andre Miller, Joe Smith, and picks Gasol for Chris Duhon, P.J. Brown, all our picks this year along with future picks and some other scrubs. ll. I dont know yall but i think we r going to get Pau Gasol very cheap.
It's possible that the trade goes down, if they aren't trading Den or Gordon. I can see it happening but i don't see the Grizzlies doing it. Gasol is their key player, when he was out they fell apart.

Right now is the time to get what you can and not just a little more. If they trade to Boston for a first rounder they could have a chance of getting picks 1 and 2 .. man oh man.
