<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic General Manager Otis Smith was non-wavering in his support of Coach Brian Hill after Tuesday's practice.

Meanwhile, Hill suggested that he might change the lineup Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks to help break the Magic out of a slump.

""To say my coach is not doing a good job would be crazy," Smith said. "I think he’s doing a fantastic job with what we have."Smith added that, "We're all pressing. The players are pressing, I'm pressing, the coach is pressing. We could all take a step back."

Hill understands the frustration of fans and the unrest perhaps directed at him. "You better know this going into the business or you’re not going to last very long," he said. "You can’t be real thin-skinned." Hill would not divulge the changes he might make, but conceded he has not decided on a a starting lineup against the Bucks at Amway Arena.

The most obvious change might be starting Darko Milicic for Tony Battie at power forward, but small forward Hedo Turkoglu could also be replaced with Keith Bogans. Grant Hill could also move back to his old small-forward spot, and Bogans could start at shooting guard.

There's also a possibility that against the Bucks' smallish lineup (Earl Boykins is 5-5) that the Magic could go with Jameer Nelson and Carlos Arroyo starting in the backcourt.

Rookie J.J. Redick sprained his ankle in Tuesday's workout, but Smith said it was not serious.

Meanwhile, Dwight Howard confirmed that he will be participating in the slam-dunk contest during all-star weekend. Howard's likeness also will share space with Kevin Garnett's on a billboard near the strip.</div>

I knew Otis didn't have the balls to fire Brian Hill. It's good to see that changes to the starting lineup will be made though (although knowing Brian Hill, he'll end up starting Garrity).

Darko better start along Dwight because everyone has been waiting for that to happen. Even Battie said he expected it to happen eventually at the start of the season.

Moving Hedo to the bench might not be a bad idea. He has always performed well as a sixth man and bringing Bogans into the starting lineup would improve our perimeter defense and also get Dwight some touches (Bogans is good at getting him the ball in the low post and he doesn't take nearly as many shots as Hedo does).

I'll update this thread if the changes are made public before the start of tomorrow's game.

I liked most of what the article said. It is a step in the right direction, and atleast both Otis and Hill know the fans aren't satisfied with mediocre play.

    However:

If we make a change to the PG/SG/SF, it needs to be throwing Ariza(when he gets back) or Bogans into the starting lineup so that we can maybe contain other teams guards a little.

He didn't make any changes last night... gotta love Brian Hill. [IMG] At least we won, if we hadn't I would've went crazy.
