He predicted the basketball injury gods would not shine on the team two years in a row. He predicted a close division race. A month ago, he suggested it was time to break up the team. Now, he says that with the East so close, it's hard to determine what the Nets should do. In fact, he says the Nets are the NBA's seventh best team right now.</div>

Hollinger not dissing us anymore. I don't think we need to make a move now. The teams seems to be on track. Especially the way Vince has been playing. It doesn't look like we will make a move unless we do really bad a week or 2 before the trade deadline.

I kinda agree. I'm not a big fan of the middle spot. Not good enough to contend for an ECF, but good enough to not get a good pick in the lottery. One or the other, the middle ground is just a no-win situation.

Thing is, in a conference that's so weak, would it be worth it to blow it up? The Nets have the ability to make the ECF certainly, and who knows where it can go from there. Right now, they're playing for now, but they really don't have the assests to add players.

Btw, whats the deal with Boone? Doesn't seem to get much playing time on a team thats thin on the frontline.

I don't know if this team that has been so bipolar can put together a string of good series. At times we look like ECF contenders and other we look like sewage water.

I don't think that we can go deep in the playoffs, that is, if we make it at all. I still believe that the Nets has to make one major move. Either to make a big trade or replace Lawrence Frank. I'd lean more on replacing Frank. The Nets has a solid line up. Even with Nenad out for the season, the Nets is still a strong team. Mikki Moore has stepped up. Actually I like Moore's play than Nenad. Moore gives us an inside presence. Whereas Krstic is content on shooting 15 ft. jumpers. Wright and Adams can cover for Jefferson for the time being. And this has been said a million times, Carter has to assert himself inside. I just don't understand why he keeps settling for those long fade away j's. When he easily gets in the lane if he wants to. Jason Kidd... Well what more can be said about this guy. Bottomline, I won't mind replacing Lawrence Frank.
