I'm going to the bay area in a few weeks and I'm hoping to do a few interviews with a few GS players. Stephen Jackson a good friend of mine and likely Al Harrington. This thread is for you guys to ask any questions you may have. Golden State fans or fans from other teams. I decided to put this in here due to the fact they are GS players of course. If you have some questions post them here. I will try my best to get these interviews when I head to see these guys in 2 weeks time. I will be going to the Warriors/Knicks game so I will try and get the Q and A's done during that week sometime.
I can only think of normal questions, like: Who do they like in the clubhouse? Do they hang out much with any of their new teammates? How is like now being one of the oldest players on the team? (Oldest players are Foyle, Sarunas, then SJax, Baron and Al). How do they like playing under Nelly? (which has been asked before, but may change with some time playing under him)
Ask SJax if he thinks he'll be doing any jail time for his legal troubles. Ask him if he has any regrets in his NBA career. Ask him what it was like to win a championship with Popovich and Duncan. Ask Harrington if he considers himself a PF or a SF. Ask him how he suddenly became a 3pt shooter out of nowhere. Ask him if he thinks he should be a #1 go-to-guy or more of a role-player. Ask Nelson who the smartest player on the team is. Also ask him who the dumbest player on the team is. Ask Foyle if he has any plans to retire early. Ask JRich who the toughest pound-for-pound player on the team is. Ask Monta if he'll PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay in Golden State forever. Ask Beidrins the same question.
That's great. Thanks for giving us the opportunity. Here are my questions: What do you do to get ready for a game on gameday? What do you like to do after the game, i.e. which clubs do you like to go to or would you rather go home or back to the hotel?
Ask Sjax, "what's your favorite handgun and do you shoot better from 3-point land or when you're in a strip club parking lot?" Ask Al Harrington, "who can rebound better: You or Stephen Hawking? Sorry trick question." Ask both players, "If there was a 4-point line, would you settle for that instead of the three?" Ask coach Nelson, what is smaller, "Chris Mullin's book smarts or his 4th quarter lineups?" I dunno, I suppose their good players for scoring and a few other things, but man I wish we could use them in a bigger trade to land somebody this franchise dearly needs. A good big man!
Al Harrington questions ... 1. Antonio Davis took you under his wing when you were a rookie, and you then took Josh Smith under your wing, how is your relationship with both these players these days? With all the young players on Golden State, who do you plan on working with the most? 2. Will you rock a gold mohawk if the Warriors make the playoffs this season? 3. Is Baron Davis responsible for paying the dinner bill when the team goes out to eat since he makes the most money? Or do you and Stephen have to pay your dues by ponying up for the bill? 4. Do you prefer the city life the Bay Area has to offer, or do you prefer the rural lifestyle Indiana had to offer? 5. What are some of the responsibilities Don Nelson has given to you within the offense and what are some things you'd like to improve on in the second half of the season? 6. Has Baron Davis taken you shopping at Banana Republic yet? Apparently he likes "his boys" looking good at all times so he takes all new Warriors one a one time all expense paid trip there. Questions for Stephen Jackson... 1. One of the knocks on Golden State is they're a soft team, and having you on the team gives them more toughness. Do you like that stigma attached to you? Do you like being the enforcer out there on the court? 2. What's your favorite nick-name the fans have coined for you during your career? 3. The first day you walked into the Warriors locker room, what crossed through your mind? 4. You went to the world famous Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, do you still follow the team, and who are some players to watch out for coming out of there? 5. At one time you were traded for Al Harrington, and now your teammates with him. How would you describe your relationship with Al, and who got the better end of that trade?
