Tonight the suns have a very difficult game against the amazing, ageing spurs. im pretty sure the suns are going to destroy this stupid team. they arent that cool, and are coming off of a loss to the Utah Jazz last night.

Tim Duncan is so boring, and easily the top 5 most posterized people in NBA history.

Manu Ginobli is stupid. (minus the block on kobe the other night)

All tony parker eeeeeeever does is do his stupid non-jumping floater in the middle of the key..i cant wait until the suns take charges on that stupid thing he calls a move. hes so french it hurts.

    My prediction:

    Suns 103 Spurs 16

103-16 sounds like a blowout to me.

I've been looking forward to this game all week. Both these teams put on a good show, and I'd like to see how San Antonio approaches the game tonight. Will they try to run with the Suns or do they go big and slow the game down?

Popovich got burned last year in the playoffs against Dallas, by trying to match them with small-ball. I want to see what adjustments, if any, he has made to neutralize an offensive powerhouse like Phoenix.

I'm also curious to see if Duncan can handle Amare or if the Spurs focus away from him like they did in the playoffs a couple of seasons ago.

Team Steven 01, any chance you can stop making these obnoxious posts? Your vocabulary is limited, your attitude is unacceptable, and your comments about other teams and players are harsh, yet those teams and players are in the NBA and you are not. Please try to be civilized from now on.

The Spurs are very patient, I don't think they'll play the Suns style no matter what the score is, they know the Suns go on runs just as often as they go on slumps, so I think they'll run the race like the turtle (slow & steady) and expect to be in the game by the end.

If I were either coach, I wouldn't play Duncan on Amare or Amare on Duncan, no reason to get them in foul trouble, at least early on. I'm sure Marion will cover Duncan, and I would guess Oberto and Elson will defend Amare.

Lol are you one of Team Steven 01's joke accounts? Hilarious.

Scorbutic is the most mature Suns fan I've observed.

What I find hilarious Huevon is his comments on the other team.

I don't visit the Suns board often, but it always seems like Suns fans are the most obnoxious(excluding scorbutic and Squishface).

Anyway it looks like the Spurs are falling behind in the fourth. 89-84, Suns.

Downtown is cool too, I bet if you review all the obnoxious posts you'll see they are all by Team Steven 01 or somebody who isn't a Suns fan. When I first started on this board (which was after the Suns traded Marbury) there were only like 3 or 4 Suns fans and now there are still only like 3 or 4 of us [IMG]

Anyway game is over, Suns won 103-87. Duncan and Amare played against each other most of the game, though both had 4 fouls because of it (they never listen to me):
Amare had 24 points, 23 rebounds; Duncan had 20 points and 18 rebounds.
Barbosa led the Suns 25; Ginobili led the Spurs 32.

Raja was hurt early on, which may have been a good thing for this game, cause the Suns struggled early and it was when Barbosa came in that the Suns took off, though with Ginobili on fire (I forgot what a good ball handler he was) they could've used Raja, Barbosa couldn't keep him from getting to the basket.

Marion played some good defense again, I think he was mostly defending Bowen (0 points), though he played a little bit against everybody (I saw him on Parker near the end). He had 3 steals and 2 blocks, I wanted him to get 1 more steal (his 100th steal of the season) but that'll have to wait.

I hope a national televised game helped people realize Phoenix's defense isn't as bad as the scores make it seem. Each team only shot 80 times (yes, in a Suns game, 80 is low) thus the Suns allowed 87 points on 39% shooting. They usually force a low shooting percentage, the difference is San Antonio kept the pace slower than most Suns games, thus each team got fewer shots than a Suns/Warriors game for instance would have had. People who only read scores and listen to Charles Barkley are missing the point, Phoenix is top 10 in defensive FG%, defensive 3P%, defensive PPS and defensive ADJ FG%. If Barkley would take the food out of his mouth while he talks and forgets about his grudge with Colangelo, he might realize that too.

P.S.>> Also they did all that without 2 of their best defenders (Raja Bell and Kurt Thomas). It's weird because for the first time ever ESPN and the media are on the Suns bandwagon while NBA fans are unfairly critical of them.

I assume that you have not witnessed my posts when you leave me out of this exclusive group of mature suns fans. I have not posted in maybe a month so I will give you the benefit of the doubt and not take offense.

As for Stephen, buddy your over the top commentary and predictions are uncalled for as well as unoriginal. I have been a member of this forum for many years and trust me the 100 to 13 type predictions have been done before many, many times (It was funny when I saw it three years ago) However, you may not have realized this so I look forward to a different style of post next time. Agreed[IMG]

Now, as for bashing all suns fans, that too is uncalled for and I certainly suspect that while the Laker forum has a very healthy supporting crew, Bashing the other forums members does not bode well for the overall success of this website, especially when certain teams are struggling for membership. Perhaps one of the reasons so few people are active on certain team forums is because they do not believe they will have the support of very many Posters.

Also, posting those pictures One and Only is further uncalled for. If I went into a Laker forum and posted pictures of Andrew Bynum being posterized they would immediately be removed. The double standard is sickening when a Laker forum can post all the "Andrew is gonna posterize... and Andrew is gonna truck..." but one suns post says we are going to posterize Duncan and it leads to those type of pictures, hmmm. As for the Diaw picture, many props lol, a perfect rebutal to Stephen's ignorance.

One of the better games I've watched all season between these two teams. Barbosa completely changed the tempo of the game, and disrupted the Spurs gameplan.

A key play to the game was when Brent Barry hit a 3-pointer, and Barbosa sprinted right back down the court for an uncontested layup. The Spurs had some momentum after the 3-pointer, but Barbosa took it right back.

Another strategic moved that paid off late in the game was switiching Nash on Bowen, and putting Marion on Parker. The Spurs didn't know what to do when D'Antoni pulled off this switch. The Spurs plan of attack was to go right at Nash, but Bowen is too limited on offense to exploit the mismatch, and Marion made it tough for Parker to make a clean pass.

Scorbutic, I thought it was great Duncan and Amare went at each other. The NBA should be all about the best players competing against one another. Amare was fired up after Manu kicked him in the nuts on a layup attempt. He helped the Suns close the game out with a 16-3 run, I think it was?

This is the Suns first victory over an elite team this season. Very impressive.

Thank you shape, glad to see that something that would not fly on the Lakers forum can also be removed here.[IMG]

Well like I said, I don't visit the Suns board often. Usually when a Suns fan posts in the Laker forum though, it is usually a lot of baiting.

Sorry for discluding you from the list of non-obnoxious fans though. [IMG]

I wasn't bashing the Suns fans. I was merely saying it always seems like a good portion of the bunch is always obnoxious. If you mistook me as saying only Suns fans can be like that, then I guess I should have worded that better as Laker fans can be like that as well.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting *Scotch:</div><div class="quote_post">Also, posting those pictures One and Only is further uncalled for. If I went into a Laker forum and posted pictures of Andrew Bynum being posterized they would immediately be removed.</div>

Well it depends on the context of you posting the pics. If someone said something like "Bynum never gets posterized" or "So and so will get posterized like he always does" then I personally wouldn't see a problem with it. I was merely proving a point with that pic(ironically it was Kobe on Nash was the first I could find [IMG]). I was directing it moreso to Steven than you, no direspect intended.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting *Scotch:</div><div class="quote_post">The double standard is sickening when a Laker forum can post all the "Andrew is gonna posterize... and Andrew is gonna truck..." but one suns post says we are going to posterize Duncan and it leads to those type of pictures,</div>

Well I don't particular care for that thread. If Suns fans wanted to make their own "Amare trucks" thread, then I'm sure shape wouldn't have a problem with it. The way Team Steven worded the Duncan quote it didn't sound like "we are going to posterize him", it was more of a shot at him.

Sorry for the picture that I posted though. Hope no ill-feelings are held. [IMG]

No worries just wanted to represent for Suns fans who actually have some basketball IQ, and like I said in my post I do not agree with what Steven posted. As for the pic I just hate seeing my star posterized as does everyone, plus that was a total charge---- lol j/k i have no idea.
