It's the headline on Hoops hype, I'm sure Shape will post article but I wanted to discuss What do you guy think they're looking for? I think Gadzuric could really help Utah, because the post players on our bench aren't that appealing to me. Utah needs that true C that is willing to get down and dirty guarding other bigs that actually has talent. Jarron Collins flops like his name if "Flipper" (the dolphin) and Hoffa just fouls everyone. I don't know his contract but Utah could probably deal Hoffa's expiring contract that's 4 million, Giricek is a 4 million if you need a good SG, or C.J. Miles is a young SG that is in his 2nd year outta High School that's pretty good with tons of potential.
This is why signing him to that 6 year, $36 million deal was a stupid move by Larry Harris. Sooner or later, he'd get stuck cap-wise and have to move Danny G. And we need all the help we can get in the paint, so I don't know why we'd give him up now. If he does go, we'd better get a defensive stopper in return
When they signed Dan Gadzuric he just finished averaging 7.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in only 22 minutes of action. I don't think at the time it was a bad move for Larry Harris, especially with the dearth of solid big man in the East. But what I really don't know is the reason for the slide in production? He's fell in just about every major statistical category. He never came across to me as a player who was concerned with money over play; why isn't he getting the job done?
^ Look at his minutes. Gadzuric and a 1st for Mo-Pete? (I think I stretched it with the pick). I would love to get Gazuric on the Raps, though.

Why would they all of a sudden cut his minutes back when he was producing so well in only 22 mpg that one season? I know, they have Bogut, but he still should be able to get at least 20 minutes backing Bogut up and letting Bogut play the 4 for a little bit. I think he would be a great addition to many teams if he is still as good as he was a few seasons ago, I would very much like to see my Warriors get him even though his contract is a bit large for being a backup.
Danny's minutes have taken a hit because he doesn't fit the Stotts offensive mold. Gadz is very limited offensively - he doesn't handle the ball, has little shooting range, and bricks his free throws. He plays with a ton of energy and passion, but all his best traits are really only seen defensively. This is yet another reason I believe Stotts is mis-using his current roster. Danny could be a double/double guy if he got 25-30 minutes - I truly believe that. However, it would be because he's tremendous on the offensive glass and is a clever player. He's not a real good man-to-man post defender - a guy with elite size will be able to back him down in the post and get a shot off. I think Danny's ideal situation would be on a team that's got an Eddy Curry type guy, someone who doesn't rebound or defend but is an offensive player. That way, Danny can come in for 15-18 minutes a night to provide hustle and energy while the scoring type players (Curry) are on the bench. He's just wasting away on our bench, because Stotts can't even figure out how to use Bogut.

When Danny G got that big contract, he was playing under Terry Porter, whom ran a similar style of play to the Raptors with T.J. Ford at the helm. Notice how his minutes and overall play went down considerably after Stotts came to town? Playing under Stotts as a Center is like an Elephant Graveyard. He is a guard oriented coach and is putting Danny G's career in a headlock. Not only that, but he's also lowered Gadzuric's value so much so that it would be impossible to ship him for much in return. Thanks Terry. P.S. He's very much capable of averaging a double-double with the right team. Preferably a running team (Raps, Suns, Nets?etc).
Well said. It seems the Bucks have had some quality centers over the past few seasons, but don't seem to recognize how fortunate they are. Gaduzuric's contract isn't the greatest, but I'm still hoping he's on the Raptors' rader heading towards the trade deadline. His value his low, he fits our system, and addresses our crappy rebounding. btw, Welcome to JBB.

Always good to get a new Bucks fan, even if our team is royally stinking it up How about a petition to get Stotts tossed out on his ass?
