Melo was the best midrange jump shooter in the league before he was out for 36 days and he needs to and eventually will get his accuracy back. He is working on the problem quite a bit these days, and I am sure the coach is in favor of him taking jump shots until his accuracy comes back.

Anyone can go to the hoop and get fouled or blocked or make a layup. Melo is one of a very few number of players who can hit close to 40% of his midrange jumpers. The midrange jumper is the main thing that makes Melo a special scoring threat, so he MUST get that shot back if the Nuggets are going to be good or great.

I actually think Melo does a good job at getting other shots besides jumpers. He attacks them rim with strength all the time.

What happened to that 10/10/10 George Karl rule that Melo had to follow? It was something like he can't take more than 10 jumpers unless he gets 10 free throws and 10 points in the paint.

I think Melo often takes jumpers in the paint or on the edge of the paint. That way, he can take alot of his jumpers and still not upset the coach too much.
