<div class="quote_poster">Bobcats Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, he lost his finger when he was younger.</div> Damn... When he was 11, Green was playing in his Houston home, where he had put up a makeshift hoop over a doorway. While wearing his mother's class ring, he caught the ring on a nail that was holding up the basket. ``I was trying to see how high I could jump,'' he said. Almost a decade later, Green's father, Gerald Sr., still cringes when talking about the accident. ``They couldn't re-attach it,'' the elder Green said. ``So they had to shave off part of his finger. I had nightmares about it.'' http://www.truehoop.com/2005-draft-323-ger...eens-agent.html Is it his left or right (shooting hand)? If so, I wonder if it effects his jumper. He probably got used to it, but that sounds like it hurted and I feel for him.

^nah, good shooters release the (mostly) off their index and middle finger, with thumb support...I am sure it has some negative effect on his game/shot and dribbling. talk about staring.
