Nate Robinson, Gerald Green, Dwight Howard and Tyrus Thomas are selected to the Dunk Contest this year. http://www.nba.com/allstar2007/news/sprite...unk_070205.html
Tyrus Thomas is going to surprise people, but in the end I think Green is going to bring the dunk contest back with some crazy slams.
Eh, it's probably going to be boring. When is the last time the dunk contest was exciting? Probably in 2004, but it has really fallen off. Most of the dunks attempted we have seen before. Just not exciting anymore.
Expect Dwight to do some dunks that no one has seen before either. I think he'll do better than Tyrus Thomas. I just hope that Nate doesn't win just because he's small again.
Gerald Green should win easily if he gets his dunks through. It's too bad Flight White won't be dunking.

How did Carney or Rudy Gay not get invited? Weak. Tyrus is a game dunker. Gerald Green/Dwight Howard final in which Green will probably win.

<div class="quote_poster">Gee_Dupe11 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">this dunk contest is underrated......its gonna be the best in the last 6 years</div> Are you serious? How can you say this contest is better than the two that Jason Richardson won?
I wanna see some crazy acrobatics, creativity and athletiscsm in air with the dunks. The only player he capable of that is Gerald Green. I hope Tyrus Thomas shows something. If James White got PT he'd be in this for sure. I'd pay to watch James White and 3 Jerry Stackhouse's or something.
Dunk Contest Judges <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The judges of this year?s Sprite Slam Dunk competition will include Jordan, who is the all-time All-Star Game scoring leader with 262 points in 14 appearances; 1985 and 1990 Slam Dunk champion and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins; 1997 Slam Dunk winner and starting guard for this year?s Western Conference All-Stars Kobe Bryant; 2000 Slam Dunk winner and 2007 Eastern Conference All-Star reserve Vince Carter and 11-time NBA All-Star and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Julius ?Dr. J? Erving. </div> Link ^ a pretty start studded panel. I wish we had the same judges last year, I'm definetly sure they wouldn't have robbed Andre Iguodala of his trophy
^I'm acctually looking forward to seeing what Tyrus and Dwight can bring to the show. <div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Link ^ a pretty start studded panel. They should've made Andre Iguodala a judge. I'm kind of surprised that the NBA would choose 2 forwards for the dunk contest. There's a lot of really athletic, young guards who can slam it down hard. They're more of a sure thing, whereas Tyrus and Dwight have the potential to really stink it up.

James White/Rodney Carney > Tyrus Thomas. Just sucks that the guy who made a through the legs dunk from the free throw line isn't in the dunk contest (must be a PT thing).
