The Saints & Broncos appear to be the front runners. They both have WRs to exchange in Stallworth & Lelie. Others said to be interested are the Dolphins, Eagles, Chiefs & Patriots.

If they trade Walker, I hope they get it done by tomorrow. It would be nice to have this kind of thing taken care of before the draft so it's not a "day of" deal.

I hope we get a 2nd and 3rd for him. That's what our asking price is supossed to be. I wouldn't mind Lelie and a 3rd or Lelie and a 4th though.

I heard they were holding out for a 1st?

I hope the Pats are serious players in this.

The rumor in S. Florida is Walker to the Dolphins and the teams swap picks....Dolphins 1st to the Packers for thier 2nd....I also hear the Packers are leaning toward doing it....if you look at the draft value chart, the difference between those picks is about 500 points, which is the equiv of a high 2nd, so thats close to the value the Packers are demanding....this is a deal that might get done....

This deal is okay & could live with it. Miami could still get a decent DE/OLB hybrid.

I'd feel better if Miami received a 5th rounder also.

I'd take that deal. I think it's a great deal for both teams. Green Bay moves up in the Draft and should be able to find a solid player at #16.

Miami gets a solid player that if he can get back from his injury, can be one of the better players in the league.

The thing here though is Miami is taking on 2 injured players here which is tough to do in my opinion. Culpepper and then Walker if it does happen.

My 1st thought too when i heard it was that I would take the deal also....I thought it was fair for both teams....the Dolphins dont want to give up another draft pick in this draft(already trading or using 3), so this allows them to trade without reducing the number of day 1 picks while addressing the need for a 2nd or 3rd WR....the Pack would move up to the middle of round one, which i think is an excellent spot to be, considering how much talent is in this draft....there are so many guys speculated as "Top 10" talent that some of them have to fall....I think this deal might wait until the Dolphins are on the clock because GB may want to see what players are still there....

I think the eagles will make a strong attempt to trade for him. Since TO is gone they dont have a dominant #1 reciever

I'm not sure if Miami will do it though. Walker has met with the Saints and Broncos tomorrow and that's it.

Walker could be part of an even bigger deal if GB wants Mario Williams. They could swap 1st rounders & WRs with the Saints.

The Miami Herald reported this morning that the Dolphins have recieved permission to begin negotiating a long term contract with Javon Walker....the speculation is that the Dolphins and Packers have discussed basic parameters of a deal and are close enough to involve Walker and his agent in the process....
