I don`t how many of you guys in the Philly area listen to 610 WIP, but listening to the station yesterday, I thought Howard Eskin brought up a good point. He said what Billy King, first thing, should do is take Mo aside and basically say your still a lock as the coach next year, but don`t COMPLETELY go all out and take whatever it takes to win the game. Start Louis Williams or give him more minutes. Give the young guys some development and prepare them for next year. I do think it`s a good point. It`s not exactly losing on purpose, but at the same time it just helps for the draft. What do you guys think?

And they have some respectability because they're not at the very bottom like the Celtics. The whole reason they traded AI was to rebuild, because I haven't watched the sixers play much this year I wouldn't know how much PT the inexperienced players are getting but I would have expected they were getting more PT before reading this.

You have to think, these players train their whole lives for this opportunity. Not to mention they're lifted all them weights in the off-season and what not. He brings up a good point here, but I'm not a very big fan of Eskin. I find him very annoying at times and I think his views on certain topics (i.e. Peyton Manning), are just to get ratings.
Cheeks really does need to play Louis more, aside from the occasional turnover tendency..Louis CAN actually produce when he gets decent PT, but Cheeks neverrrrrr plays him. If you're not going to give him decent PT, at least send him back to the NBDL because it's only going to hurt his confidence more if you just make him ride the pine all year. And just keep him at SG for now..his PG skills still are a bit raw, he's more suited for the SG position. The kid has a WAY, WAY higher ceiling than people choose to believe but he'll never be able to reach it if he never plays.
i think it's a good idea it can only make the team better..plus you never know what you can find in a player if you get their confidence up...i think its a great idea
