Baron Davis' attempt to regain his reputation as an NBA ironman took another hit Friday, as the Warriors announced that their star guard would miss at least two more games with the bruised left knee he suffered in Charlotte last week. Davis did not suit up Friday, and missing Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks will make it four games he's been knocked out with the knee ailment. Davis, who also missed four games in November with a strained right rib muscle, hasn't played in more than 67 games in any of the last four seasons after starting his career with a consecutive-games streak of 262. After an MRI scan by Warriors team doctors Thursday proved inconclusive, Davis traveled to Los Angeles on Friday to meet with Dr. Stephen Lombardo, the surgeon who repaired cartilage damage in Davis' left knee in January 2003. However, a team spokesman said results from that examination might not be available until Monday, meaning Davis' availability is also in jeopardy for the Warriors' game in Denver that night and their pre-All-Star finale, at home Wednesday against the New York Knicks. Maybe the Warriors should consider giving him a call. Or...maybe not. Just an idea. I would rather have Penny playing point guard than Matt Barnes, which seemed to be the case during the Bulls game.
OK, nevermind about Penny, what about Jason Kidd? http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/446...rested_in_kidd/ The Warriors could probably top that deal, couldn't they?
