I attended last night's Sac game - really just a putrid display of basketball.

Besides the usual horrible offensive and defensive execution, the other thing that stood out was just the lackluster effort except for Collison getting on the floor a couple times (and Big Nasty sitting on him both times for it; Ray looked disinterested missing 2 free throws throwing wild passes in lane and was toasted again by Kevin Martin; Rashard looked rusty as expected although it's good to see him back; Wilcox can't score unless he's holding the rim in his hand and our Earl and Luke just generally look outclassed, Luke especially was jumping in the air with nowhere to go.

Too bad because I had really excellent seats - the high point was when Shawn came out and the crowd gave him a standing O.

Looks like we're playing a lot better today - up 16 at the half at ARCO.

Somebody should make giant Greg Oden and Kevin Durant signs for crowd behind the hoops so they can wave them when the Sonics shoot free throws.

    Box.

Nice comeback game from Rashard - he rebounds better with a busted thumb than without.

Why is Rashard playing 43 minutes in his second game back? Oh yeah, because Bob Hill is a horrible basketball coach.

Nice turnaround today, although Sac looked almost as bad as we did last night.

Hill almost has me fondly remembering the Paul Westphal era

What is even funnier is that Gelebale didn't play at all. I swear that every team that we play takes us for granted and if the Kings would have played with the same intensity that they did when they were down 21 points we would have lossed by 20.

Bob Hill is doing what an insecure coach does. He looks for excuses when he can find them, and when there are none left he abandons his philosophies that he had when the team had excuses and only looks at his short term goal -- which is to win enough games to keep his job -- at any cost. Can't blame him for that but you can blame upper management for allowing him to continue to run this ship.

Anyway we won two consecutive games on the road and Sweet Lew is slowly but surely get back into rhythm. I tell you one thing his ball handling skills have regressed considerably since his injury. He is back to shooting wide open 3's or fadeaway jump shots in the post. Hopefully as his hand gets stronger he will play the same way he did prior to his injury.

Yeah I noticed Gelebale sat the whole game too. He seems to have lost confidence in his shot, or maybe teams are scouting him now. Defensively he's getting pushed around and I haven't seen him lock anybody down on the perimeter yet either.

As far as Hill, he doesn't have the resume to be calling out players or pointing fingers in the media. Phil Jackson can ('Vlad's had 2 stinkers'), Pat Riley can, Popovich can, but not Bob Hill.

Also, I love it when our all our coaches quorum on the court during a time out, presumably talking strategy, drawing up a play or discussing key matchups as the players slump down into their chairs. Why do we have so many assistants anyway?

Speaking of Radman, I was watching the Lakers game on Saturday, and he took the ball hard to the hoop on the baseline and easily threw in a fancy reverse layup. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was on my third minute contemplating this abberation when I saw Drew Gooden's neck hair and my mind exploded.
