Carmelo Anthony today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Feb. 5 through Sunday, Feb. 11.
    Wade, who also won the award last week and for the week of Jan. 8-14, averaged 27.5 points, 8.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.75 steals in helping lead Miami to a 3-1 week. He recorded 27 points, 12 assists, five rebounds and three steals in a 113-93 win over Charlotte on Feb. 5 and registered 30 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three blocks in a 91-79 win over Boston on Feb. 7.

    Anthony, who was named to his first NBA All-Star team by Commissioner David Stern last week, averaged 30.3 points along with 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists as Denver posted a 2-2 record on the week. He recorded his first career triple-double on Feb. 5 vs. Phoenix with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, which tied a career high. Anthony also posted 29 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and three steals in a Feb. 10 win at Milwaukee.

    Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat


    Feb. 5 vs. Charlotte: Registered 27 points, 12 assists, five rebounds and three steals in a 113-93 win over the Bobcats.

    Feb. 7 at Boston: Tallied 30 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three blocks in a 91-79 win over the Celtics.

    Feb. 9 at Cleveland: Posted 27 points, seven assists, one rebound and two steals in a 103-79 loss to the Cavaliers.

    Feb. 11 vs. San Antonio: Notched 26 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three blocks in a 100-85 win over the Spurs.

    Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets


    Feb. 5 vs. Phoenix: Notched first career triple-double with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in 113-108 loss to the Suns.

    Feb. 7 vs. New Orleans/Okla. City: Scored 27 points and added nine rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 114-112 overtime loss to the Hornets.

    Feb. 9 at Indiana: Registered 34 points, six rebounds and five assists in a 102-95 win over the Pacers.

    Feb. 10 at Milwaukee: Tallied 29 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in a 109-102 win over the Bucks.

    Both of them really deserved it, especially Carmelo. 30/8/8 is unbelievable.

    Wade has really proved that he is still the candidate for MVP.

    Yeah well deserved..they have done nothing but play good basketball this year
