<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Following 50 Cent's recently released a diss video "Funeral Music" aimed at Dipset Don Cam'ron, Cam has returned fire at the G-Unit boss in a song entitled "Cuurrttiissss." "Funeral Music" opens with a hearse rolling by with the words "Cam'ron's Career" on it and later mimics both Jim Jones' "We Fly High" as well as mocking the incident in which Cam's blue Lamborghini was shot up during Howard University's homecoming weekend on Washington,D.C. In the song [listen here] Cam takes several shots at 50 including his appearance, rhyming, "He looks like a gorilla, with rabbit teeth." Cam also shouts out who he feels is a "real" dude from Queens, Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff with lines like "he ran from police/you run with police/you ain't from South Side/ 'bout to get your mouth wide." The song's chorus includes the Dipset leader echoing "Cuurtiiis" throughout and addresses fellow Dipset members' Juelz Santana and Jim Jones' album sales, while also clarifying their respected roles in the crew, "Jimmy ain't the president, he's the CEO...Juelz the underboss...I sign off like Dr. Dre" </div> "A gorilla with rabbit teeth" Heres the vid that 50 dissed Cam with. Cam should be able to take on 50. I think 50 lost all credibility going at various New York rappers: Nas, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and now Cam. I thought it was pretty weak using the Paid in Full scene at the end, especially 50 is known as a snitch. In his Ghetto Qu'ran he snitched on several people in his "hood", which is pretty ironic. First Verse: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yo, when you hear talk of the southside, you hear talk of the team See niggas feared Prince and respected Preme For all you slow muthafuckas I'm a break it down iller See Preme was a business man and Prince was the killer Remember, he used to push the bulletproof BM, uh huh This here get ya seasick, I sat back and peeped **** The roll with Easy Rider and they ain't get blunted Had the whole projects workin for fifty on five-hundred As a youth, all I ever did was sell crack I used to idolize cat Heart me in my heart to hear that ***** snitched on Pat, how he go out like that? This beef is a bunch of fake trash. I don't understand how Cam can diss 50 asking him how much Mobb Deep sold, and saying how Jim Jones sold just as much as Lloyd Banks, and he is on Koch independent records. But then 50 has outsold everybody out of the Dips so Cam's argument is pretty weak. Rappers just beef for the pub these days, none of these dudes have any real beef, its pathetic.

But on the mic real beef is wayyyy better, because you have real animosity instead of "he disrespected me on the radio" type ish. Pac's reason for beef with BIG is probably false, but at least it was a legitmate reason to start a beef in the first place. But like I said, it should all stop on the mic, and not escalate into what happened with Pac and BIG.

I could cope with that for the money, guns and bitches (with guns). It's also quite funny how he decided to film this is what appears to be his mansion in Conneticutt, hahahaha.

Also, he mentioned their names in the infamous interview for Vibe Magazine and also in the song "Against All Odds," he mentions Hatian Jack, Jimmy Henchman and King Tutt. Also, apparently Supreme liked having a reputation of being a gangsta and he gave permission to 50 Cent to put the song out.
Oh and another thing, when 50 Cent raps about how he sells crack and other types of drugs, by your definition, he's snitching on himself.
Who cares, they both suck. If it was actually two talented rappers going at it (Jay-Z/Nas, 2pac/Biggie), then I'd be interested. But 50 and Cam? Nah.

<div class="quote_poster">Laker_fan Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Oh and another thing, when 50 Cent raps about how he sells crack and other types of drugs, by your definition, he's snitching on himself.</div> It doesn't matter. You can snitch on yourself, but leave other people's names out your mouth. That's the reason 50 got shot in the first place. Take this for example: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">From Gerald Wallace to Baby Wise, don't be suprised Of how freely I thought of names of guys who dealt with pies</div> Clearly, 50 is revelaing the names of drug dealers. This is the most obvious case of snitching. Ironically, he is supposed to be "bigging up" his hood while he is doing the opposite. And at this time 50 was signed to Columbia Records and his album - Power of the Dollar - was about to drop. Being that he was signed with Columbia, a respectable record label, his album would have at least sold decently. So essentially, if 50's album went platinum, over a million people would know about various drug dealers in his neighborhood. If that's not snitching, I don't know what is. I'm still shocked on how many names he said. I never counted, but he said at least 15 names. And yeah, everyone knows Supreme, but not everyone wanted to be known like him. Just put yourself in his position. Imagine you were a drug dealer and I had a song... say, JBB Qu'ran. And I said something like Laker_fan from England always sold me bricks in London. That's blowing up your spot, no? Now imagine if I said that about everyone else in this thread, Notorious, P.A.P, Hustler, Bobcats, Notorious, Shard, Phun, A.F., Smitty, etc. That's what 50 basically did, which is why he's not, despite his fabricated lyrics, a frequent visitor of the hood. His name isn't even original! There was another 50 Cent before him, whose name he jacked. And that Paid in Full scene is Cam'Ron <u>not</u> snitching on his hood in Harlem, so it doesn't really make sense either. That's why Fat Joe got on him during the VMA's when he said something like "I feel safe thanks to the police protection courtesy of G-Unit". Back in 2003, he was the hottest rapper out, but has lost all credibility now, especially after 300 Bars and Runnin' by Game, who he wound up kissing. Besides, 50's more of a "In Da Club", type of rapper. He can rap about commercial themes, but when it comes to battling, all of his works have been subpar. His disses to Ja Rule were decent, but how hard is it to clown a funny-sounding dude who sings R&B hooks and has absolutely no hood credbility. IMO, it was inevitable that Ja Rule was going to get clowned; 50 was just the first one to do it. Piggy Bank was pretty weak (though the video was funny) and couldn't touch Checkmate by Jadakiss, 300 Bars, Don't Body Ya Self by Nas, and a number of other shots he has taken. I think Cam can take definitely hold his own against 50. It seems minor now, but I don't want it to escalate to a Harlem/Queens beef since I frequently go to Queens, particularly around the Jamaica/South Jamaica area.
If 50 Cent is a snitch, 2Pac is also a snitch for saying Biggie and Puffy were responsible for his shooting. If one's a snitch, they're both snitches. Personally, I don't believe 2Pac was a snitch so I can't call 50 a snitch for doing the exact same thing. And as far as winning the beef, its pretty clear that 50 won. Look how all the other rappers are on the decline in terms of album sales and money, not look at 50 Cent. 50 Cent is far from being a good lyricist, however, you have to respect his business brain and his ability to ruin other peoples careers. I remember when Ja Rule was making hits with J-Lo etc... now look at him: Fat Joe had a huge single in Lean Back, what happened to him? It's clear that Cam'rons' career is over now. What happened to his album "Killa Season?" It was a flop. Cam'ron doesn't have a career to ruin. However, if the rest of Dipset get involved, Dipset will be finished. 50 has too much power to be messed with.
^^He has a point. Jadakiss too, Nas' album did pretty weak from what I can recall, 50 does seem to be able to hurt peoples careers.
His ability to end people's career is overrated, IMO. Rappers like Ja Rule and Fat Joe either had no credibility in the first place or just couldn't rap (Joe has someone ghostwriting, I think). If 50 really was a "career-killer," the Game wouldn't have severely damages his reputation. He just picks who he beefs with very carefully.
