Given that everything pans out, contract wise, trade scenario's. Jason Kidd will definitely make an impact as a Laker. I feel that if the Lakers can get Kidd, the Lakers will automatically be contenders to win it all. Even with Odom out, Kidd brings what Lamar can do plus a lot more. Kobe has matured a lot since his days with Shaq. And this will be a great match with the Hall of Fame bound Kidd. It will be the second coming of Jordan and Pippen. A Kobe and Jason combo sure sounds great.

Kidd is fine playing with superstars, he had no problem with Vince Carter being Vince Carter.

If anything, Kidd would flourish in that system. Plus he has the Zen master himself as his coach. Regarding a title run this year, I wouldn't be too surprise if they can make a huge push. Kobe and Jason are two of the hardest working players in the league, anything is possible with those two. I just hope that Kidd will be able to play for L.A.

isnt smush like 6'4" or something, not too undersized, but he still sucks even when he plays good he doesnt help the team, he cant pass the ball.

There is no way Rod Thorn and the Nets are going to trade Kidd unless the deal makes sense for them as well. I doubt they would give Jason away for scrubs like Smush Parker or Aaron Mckie because they could get a whole lot more than that. If the Lakers really want Kidd, they are going to have part with one of the players you mentioned. Obviously Kobe isn't going to be traded and I think Bynum is pretty close to untouchable as well. He has really shown a lot of potential this year and I doubt they give him away. That leaves Odom and Walton and I think there is a chance one of them get shipped out if negotiations between Los Angeles and New Jersey start heating up.

Byron Scott's offense used a lot of the same sets the Lakers run, and also Jim Cleamons ran it in Dallas when Kidd played there. Jordan Farmar picked it up right away, Kidd should have no problem learning it. However, I just don't see how the Lakers can pull this deal off with the trade assets we have.

Don't blow Rod Thorn away now... @ getting Kidd without giving up Kobe, Bynum, Odom or Walton.
Rumors are swirling out here in SoCal that the Nets medical staff have examined Kwame's ankle and shoulder. Kidd is also sitting two games out..

The Nets would also send Jason Collins to the Lakers in this deal, which frees them of another $12M over the next two seasons. This trade would indicate the Nets are going to completely rebuild and are going to slash their payroll down. The Lakers would send out two 1st round picks along with Kwame, Mihm, McKie and Farmar for Kidd and Collins.
*pray* This is where the delusional Laker fans gives me some inspiration and make me somewhat delusional.

Two up and coming PG's on the same team?

I'd trade Farmar for Jason Kidd in a heartbeat

If Thorn decides to rebuild, he can DEFINITELY get better than Kwame, Mihm, and Farmar.
