I would take Maggette or Gerald Wallace in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't want either. Wallace is a stellar defender, but he lacks a consistent jump shot. We already have a SF similar in Ariza, and I wouldn't want two of the same coin.

Maggette isn't quite at the point of "stretching" the defense with his 3 at all, so I wouldn't be so quick to sign/trade for him either.

Mo Pete on the other hand, I would be satisfied with.

    G. Wallace is more than a stellar Defender he is IMO a Defensive player of the year canidate far far better than Ariza. G. Wallace would give this team the toughness it desperately needs not to mention he can play multible positions.

Maggette may not be a 3pt spcialist but he is a very good mid range shooter (way underrated) excelent slasher as I'm sure you know. And like G. Wallace he would bring some toughness to the team.

Mo. Pete would be a good pickup but IMO not as good as Magette or Wallace.

If you want a stretched out D pick up mo-pete
If you want a really good defender pick Gerald Wallace
If you want more of a mid range, slaher type player get Corey Maggette.
I would take Peterson just to make some openings for Dwight.

Well with JJ coming on, the need for a shooter isn't as big, but Mo can bring some solid D to this squad.

However, I see Mags as a great fit for them, they lack that a legit scorer besides Dwight (whos offensive game is not yet established fully in Orl) and that player that attracts attention, creating chances for themself or orthers. Although Maggette isn't the greatest playmaker, he can certainly help Orlando in many ways offensively.

I forgot about JJ. Then I would take Maggette. I don't think Wallace will fit as well as you guys think.

Hm, now that I think about it, Maggette isn't that bad. We need a consistent slasher, who can play D, and hit a jumper(though he is sketchy on this).

Dooling just doesn't cut it imo. Hopefully we would have to drop him.

    G.Wallace>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ariza

I would love Gerald Wallace because he doesn't demand the ball that much on offense, definitely capable of a 2stl & 2blks a gm, and is a great rebounder and slasher. I think we have the best chance of getting Maggette though. He's a good shooter who would definitely start (later Turkoglu) which is why he's bitching to begin with. Like I said, good shooter that can also drive with good defense. Mo Pete would be a good pickup but I don't see him working well with this team.

mo pete would be a great pick-up and im not sure what his contract is like but he has to be reasonable to his playing standards. He gives us an outside presence and can play defense. He has been in the league for some years now as well. He has underachieved in toronto, I think he still has a lot in the tank and can still blossum into a better player.

Corey Maggettee would be an amazing player to get because he have a great outside shot, and he attacks the basketball like a mad man. Plus if he comes back to otown ill be able to get the ol' throwback outta the closet. Plus maggette imo seems to be a real team player. He seems like he is the guy that everybody wants to hang out with. I think his years in the league with his good attitude to such a young team would be even more tremendous as an off-court effect.

Gerald wallace im not bought on. YES he is a great player BUT he can opt out after the season. This scares me a lot because if the magic organization doesnt handle him in the correct way he could go out and do whatever he wants to get his name out for next year getting a bigger contract. That could and would destroy all of our chemistry and we will have our heads down looking forward to next year. Now he doesnt seem like a player that would do that but u never know
