The fact that we're getting beat on the boards this game concerns me greatly.

111-97 Raptors, Ford in now with Calderon .. let's get it done.

Ya it's not a finished product, but NJ's front court is terribly thin. They good at being active on the boards, but with our size we should be able to box them out no problem.

Nice win. I almost felt sorry for VC near the end, because he clearly doesn't stand a chance with so many injuries. Does anybody know what Leo and Chuck got all riled up about (something about the MVP chant)?

About our rebounding, I'm not convinced that it's because we don't have very good rebounders. I mean Bosh is a tremendous rebounder and Rasho's pretty solid. Both Peterson and Parker are very good on the boards for guards. We just don't box out for some reason. The opponents always follow their shot or sweep in from the baseline and there'll be like 3 Raptors standing and waiting for the ball fall into their hands.

lol wtf, where have you been

but ya, we do need to be more active on the boards, mainly bargnani, he can help us a ton if he can commit to be a better rebounder. At 7 feet and with those hops he should be getting more rebounds.

Basically, at the beginning of the game when Bosh was at the free throw line, the crowd started chanting "MVP" and Vince was caught on camera saying "MVP? C'mon." Basically, Chuck and Leo were pissed off about Carter's apparent lack of respect for the home team. Vince really brought back some memories tonight; the shot of him at the end of the game with a smile on your face and horsing around with an assistant coach tells a thousand words. You shouldn't be happy after you just lost another game to put your team further away from the playoffs.

When the fans were chanting MVP in the first quarter for Bosh (kinda random) VC, in the back court was "caught" on camera saying
"come on?...mvp...wow" (exact words) with a confused ish face. Looks like he was talking to himself or possibly a teammate.

Anyways, nothing much to say about this game, we beat a team we should beat. We had poor rebounding and we sucked chasing and recovering players off screens. Nachbar and House killed us tonight with that. Even Mikki Moore a bit...

LOL, if he's been compared to Nowitzki then it almost comes automatic that he's got range.

Pretty good game by the Raptors. New Jersey's 3's kept them alive.

BTW, did anyone see the guy with the Carter jersey and they covered the "Car" part with "Quit" so it said Quitter LMFAO! I couldn't stop laughing. [IMG]

Great game, nice to see that we finished strong. Bosh's passing tonight was amazing. The difference in his passing between now and the beginning of the season is unreal.

Gotta love Mopete too, the guy has just been money these last couple of games. He always plays hard against NJ as well.

The Carter bashing by Leo and Chuck was waaaay to much and it was plain anoying. Although, I have to admit when i saw him laughing and joking around I was kind of angry.

Leo and Chuck are the biggest homers ever. When VC was on the team they rode his jock, but now he's gone they constantly criticize him (rightly so), but it's been three years. Give it up. I love Bosh, but there is no way he's close to the MVP right now. I feel bad for Vince right now though. A nets team without Kidd, RJ and Krstic is easily the worst team in the NBA. Kobe himself couldn't will this team to a win.

I wasn't referring to the booing and heckling. He deserves whatever hate he gets from the fans. I was more talking about how he's got no one else to help him right now.

And, I do kind of think that was a douche thing to say by Carter, but he was mutterring it to himself and there's no way it deserved an entire half of recycled insults and hypocritical criticism. Leo reminds me of a vengeful ex-girlfriend.

What did the Raptor's commentators say when Vince said MVP?

    <div class="quote_poster">Carter Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What did the Raptor's commentators say when Vince said MVP?</div>
It was about the same four or five comments over and over again. "Vince Carter only plays hard sometimes", "he lacks the killer mentality", "he laughs and jokes around when he's losing", "looks for the foul call too often".

    It was really anoying.

I have already lost respect for Vince, he's a talented basketball player. But especially after this game he really pissed me off. Besides the comment about the MVP chant, he was also laughing at Mo'Pete in the end when Mo was raising his hands up telling the crowd to stand up. It looks bad because your disrespecting the other team (and the fans) and it also looks bad because your team is actually losing. What a loser. Carter will never understand.

I just found it annoying that the fans were chanting MVP at a random point in the 1st quarter for Bosh.

Anyways, yea, Leo's rant was sooo annoying. God, that went on for so long. There was a game going on you know.
