I don't have the article, the computer I'm on is slow. Joe Johnson is going to replace Jason Kidd at the ASG this weekend. I'm happy for him, he deserves it. Sorry Blur.

Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson has been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern to replace injured East All-Star Jason Kidd (back) of the New Jersey Nets on the Eastern Conference Roster for the 2007 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 18 in Las Vegas. Johnson, in his sixth NBA season, will be making his first NBA All-Star appearance. The NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 18, will air live on TNT and ESPN Radio beginning at 8 p.m. EST. The game will also be telecast in over 200 countries and broadcast on NBA.com. </div> Source Damn! another injury... this has to be an all-star record.. good for joe he made it.. But these injury replacement players shouldn't officially be counted as all-stars... If it wasn't for injured players they would still be normal players... Making the All-Star team does not make the player elite... just wanted to address that for some who think that it does
Aint that a b*tch... He has put up some decent numbers, but there is no way a team fighting for a lottery pick should have an all star when one fighting for the number one seed does not.

Joe Johnsons performance this season wasn't enough to overlap the performances of Gordon, or even Deng to go with their teams success.

I think Johnson>Gordon. Gordon would probably be my next pick. <div class="quote_poster">tracymcgrady_01 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Source Damn! another injury... this has to be an all-star record.. good for joe he made it.. They just stop caring as soon as their record begins to look like crap.

What i'm saying is some of these players that are in the All-Star game that are in by injuries that really shouldnt be there wont be considered in the elite group.. I mean its kinda hard to explain what i'm trying to say but if you get what I mean then yeah...
Like og said, Shaq isn't a superstar. He can no longer lead a team and I don't think his body is going to hold up come playoff time. He isn't what he used to be and Dwyane Wade has to carry that team now. It's time for the old man to retire. I wouldn't consider Shaq an elite player and I don't think he deserved a spot in this year's All-Star game. I think even he has to realize he is on the decline but who knows, he is a pretty egotistical dude.

They shouldn't be considered All-Stars just yet, because they were not voted in through the fans. Had it not been for injuries they would not carry that name. But still, being referred to as an All-Star doesn't mean as much as it use to when fans didn't vote.

A replacement player should not be acknowledged as all-stars and be called as what they are. Replacements.
So if they play in the All-Star game and you don't call them All-Star players then what are they? lol What is this nonsense? If your in the game, you deserve your credit for being put there. All-Star or not, give the man his props. I mean, Kidd was probably selected because he's Jason Kidd. My best bet is that JJ was selected not because of his name, but because of his play this year. That's that.
