LOL. Now unapologetic ignorance and bigotry is something to give "big ups" to. I have more respect for people who recognize when their views are embarassingly backwards and keep it to themselves. Hardaway actually admitted he was a bigoted homophobe, and spewed his nonsense anyways. How in the hell is that worthy of anything but contempt?

Being gay isn't exactly normal, but it's being understood that's it is not by choice. We know this because there's greater awareness of that group and more people are talking about their experiences and they're writing books about it and they're saying it's not by choice. And because so much of religious doctrine surrounds the creation of family by union of man and wife (not man and man or woman and woman). That's pretty sacred and anything different would violate that sacredness. Every society knows that in order to create a family (the future of mankind), a husband has to get his wife pregnant. And in order to raise a healthy family it needs both a mom and dad (ideally). But you know, that's just religion. There's new ways of thinking now and many choices available that people back then didn't have or didn't consider. Like what happens if a Lesbian couple adopts a baby and raises him/her in a loving family? What happens to the question of whether a mom and dad should break their relationship bond with their daughter or son because he/she is gay? Religious groups were never confronted with those issues and if they were, they were quick to label it as a sin because they couldn't understand anything beyond what they interpreted as righteous. They may even make decisions they might regret or theoretically violate something they aren't supposed to do like give up on their own child because of homosexuality. Life doesn't happen the way we intend and there's things that happen all the time that go outside what we believe is the ideal way to live by. It's selfish to think one way fits them all. I'm not gay, by the way, but I'm trying to be tolerant or else irony is going to bite me in the ass one of these days and I'll have a future son doing some home decor show on the discovery channel. Anyway homosexuality is a genetic thing that has to be understood and accepted if we ever plan to move forward in this society. It even happens to animals instead of humans, so it's not like some people have a choice in this matter (except for people who do it to get paid). You know what I'm talking about. Jenna Jameson, cough cough.

Do you think that people should be able to voice their opinion that anyone who looks slightly like an Arab shouldn't be allowed in the United States? Because he might be a terrorist? All it causes is more hate, which will eventually lead to violence. It's the power of word. Just like the word of the bible started the "God Hates Fags" campaign. Where they go around protesting soilders funerals. I don't see how these things can be tolerated. And do you think he deserves "big ups" for being a complete bigot?

Maybe I shouldn't have said big ups to him, that was BS. . Tim Hardaway isn't gay, he has a wife and 3 children (to my rememberance). . He's human, humans say out of the box things sometimes. . Gay people are human. They aren't aliens or animals? are they?
From what I see in here a couple members need to be banned. There's a difference between expressing your opinion and forcing it onto others in a vulgar manner.
Yeah, big ups to Hitler for stepping up and stating his opinion. Yeah, he hates jews but he had the balls to say it and then do something about it. Maybe Tim hardaway can now begin genocide of the gays. Sometimes I just cannot fathom how stupid, ignorant, prejudice, and hateful people can be. what has religion ever done for the world? nothing good really, just wars and rascists, so if some of you are believing that gays are unnatural, and a sin, because your king james edition bible (mentioned for the fact that the english changed the bible so as it conforms to their standeds) says so, you are in turn choosing the same logic as hitler did, thus becoming a rascist, facist, lying, cheating, homophobe who is going to hell, just because you followed your bible.
My old chemistry teacher was actually gay and he's mad cool - just gay. While I don't advocate their lifestyle, "hating" them is out of line. Even if he does hate them, he shouldn't have said it, especially since he represented the NBA for a littel while now. Seems elementary, but the old adage applies here: "if you don't have anything positive to say, then don't say it at all".
Well I understand that gay people can't help what they are, but then again, people that commit incest are "born" a certain way as well. I just don't agree with it, but I don't "hate" any of them. Why is incest disgusting? And no, it isn't just because one's babies come out with defects. Obviously because it doesn't feel right. The same thing applies to homosexuality (imo at least).
