<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> He's back. Almost. It's not quite the impact of Michael Jordan's famous two-word return to basketball in 1995, but Scottie Pippen is seriously considering a comeback and hopes to play for a contending team in this season's playoffs. </div> http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines that would be awsome seeing Scottie return, but i wonder if it will happen i feel that he is too old
If he came back he would be a great vet presence and leader within the team during games, on the bench and in training. I can see it now, Scottie Signing with LA and taking them to the finals and winning the ship.

If he would want to play for the Lakers, it would be great.</div> Wouldn't that just be Aaron McKie part 2? If he does return, I honestly see him going to the Heat. After all, that's the place where all the washed up veterans go for one last shot at the title
Pippen going to the Lakers won't bring them a championship bronbron23. If he does he'll join either Miami or Phoenix. Love to see him back in the Chi though.
this will be amazing if he comes back..if any of u guys have seen him lately he is ripped too so i know he is in shape. Also i would def get his jersey to any team he goes 2
definitley not going to Pho, the style doesnt fit him. If anywhere, it'll be the Lakers. Or Hou. hah.
The miami heat will sign scottie. the only team that he will go to besides Miami is probably Dallas and they arent interested. Scottie is good for a good 15-18 min per game and will be vaulable as a pointguard and post scorer. He could give miami what they need right now.
<div class="quote_poster">23MJordan23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I'd think he'd return to the Bulls. Then again, this is the NBA.</div> Not with the Bulls current small forward lineup, he would just be a bench warmer. He wants to contribute to championship contender, not just ride the bench so he can say "I got one more title than Michael".
Seriously whats the point? he wasn't up to the standard two years ago now he is 41. I highly doubt he can help any team. Maybe in the locker room but him coming back will just ruin what he did in the past.
I don't know if Miami should sign him, unless they plan on trading Antoine Walker (probably untradeable), or trading James Posey. @ SF: Kapono, Eddie Jones, Posey, D. Wright @ PF: Haslem, Walker, Simien I think at most Pippen can be a good role player playing 20 mpg, but that is only if he meshes well, and can he hit the 3 well?
When I saw the headline, it said "Chicago Great to Return to Basketball", I thought it was Jordan again.
Can Pippen really be effective at point guard though? I know he had a great season at point guard in Portland maybe four years ago, but at 41, how do you expect him to keep up with Chris Paul and TJ Ford on defense? Also, his lack of perimeter shooting is a minus. Basically, the only thing he's good for is posting up smaller guards. If I were a GM, I'd take a look first at Penny Hardaway instead of Pip.
