What do you think about the comparison? Sasha Vujacic was supposed to be a great shooter when drafted, but obviously he never lived up to the expectations in his first couple of seasons in the league, but lately, he is the team's only bright spot. The guy is starting to become automatic from the three point line, and he's actually hitting his shots!! Surprise, surprise. When Jason Kapono was first drafted, wasn't he supposed to be a great shooter? The guy never found his footing in his first couple of seasons in the league, but look at him now with Miami.

I know many Laker fans (including me) have hated on him in the past, but the guy has really stepped it up as of late. Vujacic is also extremely young, so he only has more room to improve. It's great to finally see him gaining some confidence, and finally hitting his shots in GAMES, when it counts. The coaches and players have always talked about how well he shoots in practice, it's great to see him finally translate his shots into real games.

Also, Kobe Bryant, Ronny Turiaf, and Sasha Vujacic are the only players on this team that actually care about winning, and actually show some emotion and heart.

I've always liked Sasha's game. He hussles, shows emotions, plays really good defense but at times he puts himself down and what makes it worse is that the coaching staff take away minutes from him. How do you expect a player to develop when he never gets the chance to play. Additionally, he still young and could be a solid guard in the upcoming seasons.

Actually he was never considered a great shooter when he was drafted. Sasha was a tall, ball handling PG. He developed his jumpshot when the Lakers acquired him.

He has really improved this season, and I like the energy he brings off the bench. I think Sasha is finally comfortable in the role the team has him playing, which is 10-12 minutes a game of harrassing a guard and hitting from the perimeter. Maybe they'll expand his responsibilities next year to become more of a playmaker on offense instead of a spot up shooter. Sasha needs to continue to bulk up, add strength, and learn how to finish in traffic.

As much as I love Sasha...... Kapono > Sasha anyday right now.

Sasha has potential to be Kapono, cause when Kapono shoots, it's MONEY.

To me, Kapono is up there with the best shooters in the league like Ray Allen, Gilbert Arenas, etc.

Hopefully Sasha can work on getting his confidence in game and he will be just as deadly.

I dont know why people keep saying Sasha was hyped as a good shooter when drafted. Like Shape said, Sasha was a poor shooter when drafted, but has developed his shot recently ...

Kapono, on the other hand, was knwon as a dead eye shooter all the way back to his Artesia High days. Big difference
