<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Los Angeles- Chris Mihm was striding into the Lakers locker room about an hour before Thursday night's game against the Cavaliers in Staples Center, showing no ill effects after a second surgery on the torn tendon in his right ankle. "It's coming along well," said Mihm, a former first-round draft pick of the Cavs. "I'm ahead of schedule on my timetable. But it was a pretty extensive recovery period. I'm just trying to take it day by day and rehab hard." Mihm will miss the entire season, his third with the Lakers after being traded from Boston. (The Cavs traded him to Boston with Ricky Davis in 2003.) "Injuries are part of it but I've never had anything like this in my career," Mihm said. "I tried to do everything I could to see if I could play. It has been three months since the last surgery. They finally fixed what need to be fixed." Mihm did travel with the team for most of its recent East Coast swing, though he came back here to see his doctor before the Lakers visited The Q. In addition to his rehabilitation, he can do strength training and light cardiovascular work. "I'll be back and I'll be 100 percent next year," said Mihm, who said there was a slight chance he could be back for the playoffs if the Lakers make an extended run. "I've been here three years, and I really felt like we've put together something special. The guys seem to be understanding the triangle offense and their roles. I think we can be one of the elite teams in the league." And has he settled into the L.A. lifestyle? "As much L.A. as I am," he said with a smile. </div> Source
