Hell yeah, updated news! 16th February, 2007 - 9:32 pm Los Angeles Times - Kobe Bryant is intrigued by the thought of a Scottie Pippen comeback and would love him to do it with the Lakers. "He was in camp with us last season and he looked like he was in great shape," said Bryant at today's All-Star media session. "I'm going to tell him there's a place in the triangle for him." That's what I'm talkin' about baby, I would LOOOOVE to see Kobe and Pippen play together, maybe he'll easy up on hating on Kobe to protect Michael =) I hope Scottie really considers coming to LA to play with Kobe and under Phil, it'll be a nice change of scenery. Does anyone think that Michael still has influence over Scottie? By this I mean, Scottie has always protectec Michael when anyone tried to compare Kobe to him (understandably) and I feel like Scottie will feel hesitant and feel like he's being shady to Michael by joining the Lakers and playing with Kobe. Or do you guys think I'm overanalyzing this a little much? The reason I'm all for this is because he won't cost a lot, and I think once all our players get healthy, we'll making some freakin noise in the playoffs
They were saying on ESPN he claims he is in the best shape ever with 5% body fat and like 220 lbs. Thats pretty good...
He is intrigued by Cleveland, yet wants to play in a sunny city. I think Miami and L.A. are front runners.
Lol at Barkley beaking Pippen's comeback chances last night. EJ: Pippen wants to make a comeback. Chuck: I wanna be skinny but it ain't gonna happen.
I wish Barkley would be a courtside commentator for all the TNT games...it was fun listening to him do one Laker game
Pippen looked like he was fit during the All Star game, but his shot is still ugly. Kobe said he's going to try and recruit Scottie to the team.
I've heard some interesting rumors down here in SoCal. Apparently, Phil really wants Kidd and wants Mitch to give up what he needs to acquire him. On the other hand, Kobe really wants Pippen.
Well the trade rumor that I've seen the most has seen us give up alot of guys for JKidd and JCollins...so getting Pippen would fill our roster with another player who knows the Triangle...our bench would be semi-depleted I suppose.... recruit me? lol

If that does happen, don't blame Mitch. Jerry Buss has official say on everything...he's not fond of getting Kidd right now...damn him.
Pip has lost his damn mind: “If you ask people who understand the game, the GMs and the coaches, they’d rather have a Scottie than a Michael,” Pippen stated matter of factly. I’m an all-around player. I make the people around me better.” **** it, let him go to Miami. Besides, chances of him signing to Lakers are slim to none.
Well there are advantages of having a player who thinks "I will play the role that is needed, whether distributing for an offense, playing tough defense, or being a guy who sets picks and spreads the floor" If a player thinks "I am MJ, I am the go to guy", and the team already has a guy who is the go to guy. Then there can be problems. Jordan was obviously the better scorer than Pippen.
And the better leader, better clutch player, hell better defender, Jordan was the better player. Scottie needs to put that ish he's smokin down.
Scottie's always made those claims. He said he used to beat Jordan one-on-one in practice all the time. I wouldn't mind adding Pippen, he won't do anything on the court that hurts the team. I'm sure he'd be a lot more productive than the McKie statue on the bench.
