<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Word is that any team interested in acquiring Minnesota all-star forward Kevin Garnett better be certain up front that he is willing to re-sign with the new team. As crazy as it may sound, rumor is Garnett is considering opting out of his contract that would pay $22 million next season and $28 million the 2008-09 campaign.</div>

Hard to believe anyone would leave $50Million on the table, but this should stir up the rumor mill.

If this is true, I'm glad KG is finally coming to his senses.

Garnett would go for the ring, he's tried to do it in Minnesota but management has killed his chances. I think he's going to end up in the East somewhere.

^ Woah, I never even thought of that. Wade, Garnett, and Shaq would be just crazy.

Yea, if there are enough touches for Wade, Walker, and Shaq. Wade, KG, Shaq should work.

Whoa, hold on there people. I know the prospect of KG opting out of his contract and signing with 'insert your favorite team' for the midlevel would be a dream come true, but lets look take a step back for a quick second. First of all, KG's player option does not take effect until the summer of 08 meaning that he can only opt out of the final year of his contract. The author of this rumor must have been doing his research on hoopshype.com where most people go to get this wrong. Secondly, this rumor was published in the Denver Post. I mean come on; you are really going to take this that seriously. There have been hundreds of different KG rumors over the years and not a single one has been true. I know there is a fascination with KG rumors, but please take them with a grain of salt.

Kevin Garnett on any team makes it instantly a contender, so I think anyone can understand everyone wanting KG on their favorite team. I'd like to see KG in Cleveland myself, actually...

Yea hate to burst anyones bubble but KG isn't going anywhere, sorry hes staying with the Twolves until he personally goes to management and demands a trade which I doubt seeing him do.

[IMG] In reality, the t-wolves are contending for the playoffs and without him they'll be lottery bound.
