It's been a while since I've really cheered for Kobe like that, he really played an amazing game and had some real nice "Kobesque" dunks.

It was also nice to see the West slaughter the East, really put in perspective how superior the West really is.

Also, nice to see the devil himself, David J. Stern, hand Kobe the MVP trophy, I bet Kobe loved it.

Marion and Amare are a nasty frontline duo, glad to see them play that well.

Kobe played great. I'm so freaking happy for him. I just wonder why he doesn't do those dunks in regular games anymore. Damn. This game reminded me of the Kobe from 2001

Great game by Kobe and very deserving of the award. He dominated the game while he was on the court both offensively and defensively (6 steals). And beyond the glory the West gets for winning, it does show how much better they are. I've never seen an ASG so thoroughly dominated the way this one was.

Great game from Kobe, it was exciting watching him take over. I got a lot of respect for Kobe, hes one of the top players in the league, and he seemed like a cool dude in the press conference. Congratulations to Kobe on the ASG MVP.

congrats to Kobe for the ASG MVP. 31, 5, 6, 6 is a NASTY statline.

BTW, anyone else notice that Kobe's a half-step slower than he used to be? However, there was an instance where his first step looked as explosive as DWade's.

This is great 4 Kobe 31 points in an all star game is great. 52 assists DAMN, think if nash wan't injured. I sacrificed staying up to watch the game to get to college early to do more work and an amazing game like this happens. I got it on tape but it's not the same. oh well

"Kobe had a fabulous night … fabulous game," said Miami center Shaquille O'Neal, who teamed with Bryant to lead the Lakers to three NBA championships.

"He shot the ball real well. He went to the hole strong a couple of times; he deserved it."
