This I severely doubt. The Lakers are already giving up Mihm and Kwame (from what I know), and if we got rid of Bynum, we'd have NO frontcourt whatsoever. We can't afford to give him up, so I doubt this rumor is true.

i doubt it... imo if the lakers include bynum the trade will look like

Farmar, Bynum and picks for kidd and collins

and im sure that that wont work financially...

Yeah right. The Lakers are not dealing Bynum for a 34 year old Jason Kidd who's earning $40Million a season. The Lakers aren't hurt if a deal isn't made, but New Jersey will be.

It's most likely fake, but if it's real, Bynum and Krstic would be one hell of a future duo.

Yeah, it's not going to happen. Why would the Lakers trade away a 19 year old center (youngest player in the league), who has shown leaps of improvement, and who has tons of potential, for a 34 year old point guard who will most likely retire before Bynum even reaches his prime. Like Moo2K4 said, it just doesn't make any sense for the Lakers. We would basically be giving up our whole front court for Jason Kidd. Not even Mitch Kupcake is stupid enough to trade away our whole front court for Jason Kidd

if this is true i wuold do this in a heart beat, we get a young center with a body that is hard to come across and can play just off size, adn you have williams running the point so you still have a decent point guard and if progession keeps going having a bynum krsct williams future would be amazing

Like what the thread reads. Kobe wants to win NOW. Clearly he's looking for immediate results and see's a chance to win in the next 2 years with the acquisition of Kidd. If your looking at the future of the team, dealing Bynum with be a mistake. But again, like the thread says, Kobe wants to win NOW.

Yea but the deal looks pretty much dead. Pretty sure nothing will happen.

But how would dealing Bynum help us win now? We will have to include Kwame Brown in the package to make the salaries match, so that would leave us with absolutely no big man on our roster. Teams will kill us night in and night out in the paint

I can see it from Kobe's side. By the time Bynum gains any consistency/dominance, Kobe will be Kidd's current age and no where near as good.

Aren't you getting killed now? I wouldn't be worried about losing Kwame. I don't think he will ever meet up to his potential. Kidd does a lot more than Kwame and Bynum at this stage. Bynum, Odom and Bynum won't help Kobe win in the next couple of seasons. Kidd will boost up the Lakers chances in more ways than one. And hey, remember whose on the sidelines, the Zen master himself.

Who would play center for the Lakers then if we dealt both Kwame and Bynum?

If I were a Laker fan, I rather have Kevin Pittsnoggle play center if it got me Kidd to play over Smush.
