<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">As crazy as it sounds, I'm actually hoping for a loss. That would mean us losing 6 straight games, which isn't good, but it will definetly pressure the front office into making a move</div> Try talking to Billy King and Mitch and ask the Sixers to trade Andre Miller to the Lakers. That way the Sixers will keep losing and the Lakers might win a few games. Guess that'll make you happy
Sasha is getting an earful. This second unit has to be one of the worst in the league with Odom leading it. I really do not understand why he's so untouchable.
Blazers on a 14-2 run. We're bricking everything, not looking inside. I really hope we lose so Mitch can realize we can't win with this team. Phil better get up in Mitch's ass about this. This is disgusting, Kobe can't even take a break and trust Lamar to lead this team.
Let's just ****** hope this is a blessing in disguise. Hopefully since both teams lost tonight, a trade will go down. Here's the latest from Hoopworld: Kidd To Lakers Done? : The Buzz after the Nets loss tonight, has everyone believing Jason Kidd is being traded to the Lakers. Kidd basically told media that he enjoyed his time in New Jersey and fully expects to be traded by the 3pm trade deadline. It’s not clear which side budged on the deal, but informed sources believe Brian Cook, Kwame Brown and Jordan Farmar are coming to New Jersey. The deal is not expected to be announced until tomorrow.
6 in a row, what a debacle. Did you guys see the defeat and disappointment from the coaching staff last night? They didn't leave the court with the rest of the playes, they just sat there dumbfounded. The defense allowed the Blazers to shoot over 60% for the ENTIRE game. We were actually lucky to be in this game the way the Blazers were scoring last night. Lamar Odom was getting lit up by anyone he defended. The Lakers tried to hide him on Aldridge, and he went 5-5 from the field on Odom. Then they put Odom on Zach Randolph, and Randolph took him in the post and scored at will on Lamar. Smush was garbage again on defense, still making the same mistakes on the high pick and roll. What's really frustrating is the way the team phases out Bynum on offense. In the 1st quarter Bynum was having an impact on the game and playing with a lot of energy. He was going after missed shots, fighting for position and threw down a monster jam. Then for some reason the guards stopped getting him the ball, and you could just see Bynum lose interest. I kept seeing Bynum work for position, the guard looking at him, and then swinging the ball to the opposite side of the court. You have to reward your big man when gets position like that and give him a touch. It happened time and time again last night, and Bynum only ended up with 3 field goal attempts. 3 field goal attempts in 31 minutes for the team's post threat is idiotic basketball.
The whole style of basketball we've been playing is idiotic. I'm done hating on Lamar, but why he can't lead the second unit is beyond me. I really don't see why the guy is so untouchable. He was absolutely TERRIBLE, like you stated, on defense. Smush was great offensively, killed us defensively. I don't get upset at that though, that's the kind of player he is. Kobe's going to break down in 2 years if we don't get him some help within the next two hours.
My bro was at the game last night and he said at the end of the game, Laker fans were BOO'ing at the top of their lungs and yelling "TRADE EVERYONE". I did hear the boos at the end of the game too, so it must have been pretty loud. Well, I guess it's not just us. Anyone else notice the boos?
I heard the boos, Jackson look like he lost all his money after that loss. It was kind of heart breaking haha. You could tell he really wanted a deal to be made, because the team needed a change. Now all we can do is hope for Pippen.
