Sorry, I don't have access to insider so I posted the link through here. Although there's only 50 minutes left of trade time I think this one is worth discussing. I think Darko is massively underrated considering he's only 21 and has tons of room to improve. You can label me a "Darko Optomist" if you must.

Not sure what we would put on the table to get this one done, I wonder if we even have the pieces. It seems like we'd either be giving up too much or too little the way our roster is right now. Jose Calderon seems to be around the right price but I doubt we're giving him up and letting D-mart run the backup point.

Even if this doesn't get done now I'm not going to be suprized at all if this comes up again in the summer.

I wouldn't do a Darko for Calderon deal. Too much to give up just on potential. Teams are banking too much on the potential of Darko to develop into something and not on his current performance.

I'd agree with that completely. I just thought from a practical point of view Calderon is the closest thing we have to fair value for Darko. I'd still rather have Jose on my team given the choice.

It sure would be nice to have some more inside help though. Darko could help on the boards and provide a Rasho type of role.

Edit: Maybe i'll downgrade this one from a rumour to "speculation" given Chad Ford's propensity to make up his own crap

Ford's scenario is actually a 3-way trade with Toronto, Orlando, and Memphis. We give up Jose Calderon, Morris Peterson, Fred Jones, and Rasho Nesterovic and get back Darko Milicic, Hedo Turkoglu, Carlos Arroyo, Stromile Swift, and Lawrence Roberts. Needless to say, its another bullsh*t Ford rumour that ESPN continues to label "Insider material."

I think we need more time to decide who is our future starting point guard anyways. Just because we signed TJ to a long term contract, shouldn't mean that we shouldn't look for better options.

I agree. Calderon is worth more to this team then Darko's potential.

Our team is all about chemistry. Taking Mo, and Jose out of our locker room could have a serious impact on our chemistry.

This trade does not stand out as for sure making our team better. I don't see BC pulling the trigger on a trade that doesn't do that for us, and also breaks up some major contributors on and off the court.

That and the trade deadline has passed now lol

    I wouldn't have done a Calderon/Rasho for Darko/Arroyo trade.
