Millen really needs to acquaint himself with league policies. The Lions just forfeited two training days for a league violation. Here's the story. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/foot...i.ap/index.html
This may be a benefit for the Lions. When you are that inept, the last thing they need is any more "improving" on their current condition.

The "Girlie men" don't all give up the first week. You've got to weed them out ... and ship them to Miami. GET YOUR FAT ASS IN GEAR ROGERS!
Zach, that's just a lame excuse. Plenty of new coaches have weeded out weak players without violating league policies. However, I'm sure your right. I'm sure that it's a good thing that the Lions organization has just thrown away two days of training. The Lions are so good, it's not like they need the work.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>I'm sure your right.</div> 98.5% of the time that is true. If the DWO keeps paying attention they may learn something. We all know that Detroit was a first for a major league city to have two teams post the best records in their perspective leagues in the same season, when the Red Wings and Pistons recently did it. Now we see the long suffering Tigers 1/2 game out of the best record in the Major League Baseball. All it took was the right coaching staff. The Lions do have talent and Rod Marinelli is planning to do what Jim Leyland has done with the Tigers. I think he just may getter done.

We have a prime opportunity to learn useless, spun, & unbiased info at the feet of the guru of all gurus.
Like stated. The Lions are the only NFL team that can bring in two backup QB's and get excited about it.

Even you know what Martz did with bottom of the barrel players like Kurt Warner and Mark Bulger. Kitna and McCown have a excellent chance to put up big numbers with this new staff in charge. I recall a fat drunken Falcon backup that did alright in Cheeseville. Open your mind to the possibilities!

You dont have a failure at the top decision making position in organization, and not have it filter down to everyone else. Unless millen is gone, lions will keep losing

One thing people don't relize is before his accident he was a Heisman canidate for the following year. He never actually got a chance in Atlanta since Chris Miller was there. Let's be real. Favre was a lucky get for the Pack. McCowan has played in the NFL. He's had the weapons around him. He's failed. Kitna has had one good year in his career. He's a career backup in the NFL and maybe a game manager if the right team is around him. Big numbers won't happen out of either or. Maybe you get 18 and 12 out of a QB. (I'd say Kitna) Then again in Detriot that would be BIG huh?
